The absolute shittest thing that can happen here is that Sangare ends up at Oly.
On the other hand it may be an option for EM to limit a bigger loss on him if Sangaré can't turn things around here, especially with the promise of European football for him?

Obviously, as has been mentioned, his wages is another issue.

My belief is that he is a good player waiting to come out.
He needs a really hard preseason training to get him going, the Dutch league didn’t test him too much and the Prem has shown his weaknesses.
For me he just isn’t fit enough right now, there is a good player in him wanting to get out but at the moment he is a step too slow causing him to make mistakes.
Get him fit and sharp and we will see see much more from him.

If you believe Drager was a Murphy signing I have a bridge in London to sell you.
We don't know who was involved in each individual pick.

But, he was signed under Murphy's watch, so he and Cooper were probably involved in the decision to sign the player.

Or are we simply being revisionist now and all the good signings were Murphy's and all the bad ones were ones EM brought in over his head? Same as all the bad signings these days are MM's and all the good ones are Ross Wilson's or Syrianos.

Well in Dragers case he never played a game for us and came from Olympiakos. I'm pretty confident it wasn't a Murphy or Cooper signing.

Drager was signed whilst CH was manager not Cooper.

I'm hoping next season he can push on like Mangala and Neco have in their second season.

I think he should be taken out of the firing line for the remainder of this season, but I don't think he's a total write off in the long term just yet. Like you say, a good pre-season might be just what he needs.

He'll do OK in the Championship.

Only real hope we have is that there really is a player there somewhere, and he realises that if he doesn’t show it then he’ll run his contract down at Forest and that’ll be his career effectively done.

If he still wants a move to a better club, then he has to show something asap. Wallowing in the championship for four years will be him done.

Think we can rule out any chance will Sangare be playing the championship. A smaller European league, maybe.

Unless his contract has a break clause if Forest are relegated, then the only way he will leave the Club is if we can break even on the sales/waged equation with an offer from another club.
We cannot sell him at a loss.

All the attributes but none of the application.

Always a struggle coning to the prem, better players have took a long time to acclimatise.

Depends whether he wants it but looks like he'd prefer to be a big fish in small pond

You make it sound like he has a choice.

If we get relegated and our choice is listen to bids for £5m or so or play him then we'll choose the latter.

His choice will be to try and get us promoted and play again in the PL with us or kick up a fuss and prematurely kill his career.
