Can't see him leaving PSV for us if they make it into the CL Group Stages. Is this the final qualifying round?

Their miracle run a few years back won’t happen again and this lad should have greater aspirations. He could showcase himself to premier league giants with us!

If he does leave Eindhoven this summer is he now ruled out of playing in European competitions for another club this season? (That might helpfully rule out some rival bidders?)

Can a player play for 2 teams in one Champions League season?

A player can play for one club in the first, second and third qualifying round, and/or the play-offs, of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League, and then represent another club from the group stage of either competition.

Back to square one.

Interestingly though he went to point to his badge...paused...and instead pointed to both nipples. This is surely a sign he is coming to Forest.

Would have thought this would have been done by now if he was interested, even with Captain Slow conducting things. Although I’m surprised neither of the Athletic reporters have said owt.

If he was interested.

At no point has it been suggested that he is particularly interested in Forest. Move on, guys. Find someone who is actually keen on wearing the Garibaldi.

I genuinely think he’s waiting for a move a bit further up the ladder. Who can blame him I guess.

I’m not very hopeful I have to say.
That's my interpretation too - it's always felt that way. Suppose there's a chance we get him if that doesn't materialise...

That's how it seems to me. I've no doubts that we could offer him a good enough deal financially but he clearly isn't/wasn't massively keen on the move. He is probably holding out for better and who could blame him?

There's no evidence that this has gone any further than a meeting weeks ago. For all we know he could've told us to do one back then and we've long since moved on to someone else.

I suspect that is exactly what is happening. If we're aiming for players of elite quality, we're going to have to hold our nerve as we're not going to be the top of those players lists in terms of desirable transfers.

It's somehow both similar and opposite to the MGW situation last year: both first choice and require patience, though with Morgan we knew he wanted it and had to wait for the clubs to fix fees. With Sagnare fee's done so it's about waiting to see if the player gets a better offer.

Assuming we deals in place for plan b and c to move onto later in the window it's worth it for first choice.
