I've thought for a while that perhaps Stevie's had a word, and it's a case of if he's not snapped up by a bigger/European level club by a certain date- he'll come to us. As PSV want rid & need cash by all accounts.

It could be complete bollocks and is certainly not ideal but we know Stevie goes all out to get who he wants/ the club go all out to get Stevie who he wants.

If this is the case you'd have to hope we'd be discussing potential alternatives & sounding them out should he indeed go elsewhere & the season is underway.

Strikes me the Leicester lad is down the list and Maia too, though not sure if anyone has snapped him up yet. We'll have fallbacks in place I'm sure.

Not the first time this window he's been linked with a European superclub.

Either way, we're clearly not going to sign him any time soon as he's playing the field. If we do it'll be right at the end of the window.

I can't see him leaving PSV regardless until they wrap up Champions League qualification anyway, it's hugely important for clubs like them.

Last qualifier is 30 August, a few days before the deadline. Fingers crossed this is a MGW-esque deal.
