Frankly I'm worried Dan. If it has not been announced who the artistes are by now, it could well be Alex's band.

If I was a pub landlord, I'd get them on just before I wanted the customers to clear off home.

The Vicar

Not Alexs band or FD who declared themselves unavailable. A funky band of strolling minstrels booked by Mr Merryweather so should be ok.

Have I?

To be honest, much as I'll enjoy reading Marks book, the entertainment puts me off, so I'm out I'm afraid. Have a great time, though.

You did indicate an intention to be there but if Anatoli and Ian Bowyer don't float your boat so be it.

Just looked, you're right, but that was before the details were known.

I shall inform you at the weekend of my reasons.

The boys from Motown Goldrush will be the band.
Singing the tunes of Showaddywaddy, Paul Young & Howard Jones GET IN.........

Since when were Howard Jones, Paul Young and Showaddywaddy associated with Motown? :dunno:

I could get quite nervous about this as the book is currently with the typographers in North Carolina and does not as yet exist. I am told it will do before then and copies will be available to buy on the day. 'Those Forest Men' is a combination of the story of me growing up surrounded by those Forest men, one of whom was a certain John Robertson, a series of writings about the history of Forest and a set of scenes from the life and times of Brian Clough and Peter Taylor. It includes contributions from forum legends who went to the games I missed - there are chapters by Flagman, The Vicar, Maverick, Gary Roe and TBT. The book changed a lot as it was being written and became something else from what it was when it began. That's quite hard to explain but you will understand when you read it, it took me three years to write it and I know any Forest fan will thoroughly enjoy reading it. It's a proper fans book. There are bits that will make you laugh, cry and think 'yes, that's my team.'
I'd like to think that if you support Forest, this will be the one book you have to have. If you are attending this event then I will be grateful for reviews. It will only be available on Lulu.com for two months, after which a second launch event will be announced to mark it's journey into shops and Amazon.co.uk
Mods this needs to be a sticky Thank you.

Tis already a sticky. Mods ignore me, like you always do.
I have always been quite loving to you and what do I get in return? Fag butts and empty beer cans.

Price will be something like £15 as it is a quality hardback with a cover design by our artist in residence, TBT. If all goes to plan I'll have thirty or so copies with me on the night. £1 per copy sold will be donated to Help for Heroes. I promised that to the contributors. After I've sold a few we'll have a 'do' where I give Ubique a cheque. Gives him an excuse to wear his medals.
