Bit naughty from OL but they rejected a £30m offer from Arsenal not long ag- saying it was nowhere near what they wanted. If OL wanted a few million more we should have paid it. f*** principles & morals.

If he comes to the Prem this will bite us on the arse.

Unless every other club we try to buy from starts doing the same. He might come back to haunt us but following that logic we need to buy anyone and everyone who might sign for a rival club.

Nope.

Sometimes you just need to accept that even though someone's being a bit of a ****, you're still getting a potentially world class player at a fraction of his value as his contract is nearing its end.

Potentially being the key word. Could bite us on the arse but missing out on MGW could do. Time will tell. The fact they didn’t up the fee offered suggests something not quite right about the deal somewhere along the line.

Main French sport outlet is reporting he's flying to England and has been left out of the Lyon squad, I can't see it happening with us because of MGW but it is interesting considering that the Palace reports don't seem to be that far along other than that they are 'interested'

What I’ve read suggests Aouar played some of his best football in central midfield.

Deeper lying playmaker and an 8 who drifts from the middle past players.

So it’s very possible we are looking at him to play there with MGW.

It also reads like he offers something different to what we already have, so even if he is competing with others, he still offers different elements.

Tails used to be famous for getting everything wrong. I know he's been better since he went to The Athletic but it still feels like despite being the official Forest correspondent, he very rarely breaks transfer news. Usually he's retweeting Ornstein or whoever. As such, it wouldn't surprise me if we find out that he's absolutely and completely wrong about this.
