I don't think we miss out because we don't eventually come to an agreement on fee. More likely someone else might find funds to nab him, or MGW suddenly becomes available for what we offered last time around.

MGW would be a come down after Malinovsky and this chap being available for half the price.
To be fair, there were numerous reports rubbishing Estupidan to Brighton and Nunes to Wolves because the players wanted more prestigious destinations.

While there's little doubt that we are interested in this chap, it wouldn't surprise me if we've neither agreed a fee or terms with the player yet.
I can't help but think our name is being used to lure a bigger team into the mix...
