I never blame players for the size of their wages. It’s the fans fault first for spending so much money then it’s the chairman’s fault then it’s the league fault.

The only thing I can see is the leagues around the world imposing salary caps and that would make football more competitive as well.

Arter could make a huge difference to our midfield. Him, Colback and Freeman would be formidable....on paper at least.

Without Sow there's just nothing there at the moment. Similar to when he was absent last year. We can't rely on him being fit, Fred looks to have taken a trip to Bomb Squadville in record breaking time and Yates and Silva just don't cut it for me.

Really hope we can find a way of making this happen....

I get how the financial elements of this deal will be difficult, but I’m a fan, not the FD, so I’d love to see Arter join.

He’d improve us on the pitch immediately.

I think a box to box midfielder is the most important player missing for our side. The right player in that position could transform this side.

Yates tries to play it at the moment but it's clear we need better quality if we are going to challenge this season.

Hope it's Arter but if not someone of his quality is a must.

Sell Yates for £2 million; give Arter his £30,000 gross and we are still left with £500,000. The big question is whether having Arter would push us over the line. I feel that we already have better options than Yates.

If Arter will be good enough to make the difference then get him. £30,000 per week and all. And that is the question. £1.5 million would seem like nothing if we get promotion.
