Nuno catching on to things several games behind the posters on here (again).

@MASE for manager.
Nuno has got even further to catch me. I called for it on here after the Bournemouth game. It was obvious we were crying out for someone else that could Keep the play ticking over to that was comfortable on the ball. You could see it immediately when he came on against Bournemouth albeit for 10 minutes

Could we get away with Reyna and MGW both playing in the centre on a regular basis? Third centre midfielder would have to put in a good defensive shift though. I guess that’s what we bought Sangare for 🙄.

What are folks opinions on this lad now we've seen a little more of him?

He's probably not fully fit and we've been spoilt by Morgan's work rate, but while he looks a very composed player, he hasn't looked committed enough doing the defensive work in the brief spells I've seen. I find that a little odd given his 'aggressive' descriptions on arrival - he's not looked anything like that for me.

Still time though - perhaps we'll see a little more fire in the belly if given more game time? As it is (and injury aside), I can see why he hasn't been used that much.

Honestly?

Shit.

I don't get the clamour for him to be in the 11. He lets opposition players just jog past him with the ball, literally yesterday one of their defenders carried the ball 20 yards on the half jog with Reyna about 3 yards away and no tackle.

He looks OK on the ball but he chooses safe options all the time. He doesn't make anything happen when he's got the ball: No incisive final third pass, no taking players on.

Proper luxury player. He reminds me of Krovinovic in what he brings to the team and the forum's clamour for him.

There might be a player in there but he's either not suited to the physicality of the PL or isn't bothered about playing for Forest, or both.

He looks OK on the ball but he chooses safe options quite a lot. He doesn't make anything happen when he's got the ball: No final third pass, no taking players on.

I saw a player for twenty minutes v Newcastle: head up, calm in possession and looking to make things happen. Since then I've seen nothing positive of note, and also clocked that letting the player run thing yesterday. So while slightly more forgiving, in that I'd hope he has an impact between now and the season's end, I fear you might have nailed it.

It's hard to argue with much of what you say. On reflection, could we have potentially curtailed Lewis O'Brien's loan at 'Boro where he's evidently been regularly playing very well and had a more effective option than this lad?

He's been recovering from an ankle break and ligament damage - probably better off getting over that in the level below.

Couldn’t agree more. Whilst he’s only had limited minutes, he’s shown absolutely nothing in the time he has had on the pitch. Can’t see us being interested in keeping him in the summer.

As he's selected to play in the heart of their midfield every week, I just assumed he's fully recovered?
I think he returned to training after the injury/op in the Jan window we could have recalled him. So yes, fully fit now but not at all really when we could have bought him back.

(Was an earlier than initially forecast return too iirc - it's hopefully good news for us he's been doing so well of late.)

Technically he looks pretty sound, but lacks the physicality and intensity to make a mark in the Premier League, is my initial summary.

I wouldn’t be looking to keep him, even if MGW was sold.

Yeah, definitely looks like another ill-thought out favour signing.

Sigh.

Frustrating as hell loaning these players in when we're desperate for Prem caliber players to keep us up, but we don't seem to have learned our lesson. Goes right back to Marinakis early tenure, when completely unsuitable players like Mir were bought in.

I am not sure we have seen enough of Reyna to figure out if he could make it in the EPL. We know this is a hard league to hit the ground running
in so without Reyna having had a couple of matchday`s in the starting line up it is very hard to judge him.

However part of that I feel must be down to what he is not showing in training.
