Lets be honest, he's probably our best player. I often admire his determination as he crosses the halfway line - as if nothing could stop him. Then, a mark of a true gent, he'll show great mercy upon our victims by casually sweeping a ball left or right, or out of play.

I think McCleary divides the forum more so than McGoaldrought and Smith/Camp.
Personally I think he's a very useful player to have, as other than McGugan he is the only Forest player who I can see tricking past a defender or use any sort of flair down the wing. Anderson is good, but he needs a clear space in front of him and for someone else to cross the ball.
Not a starter for me, but a decent squad player.

Mods are currently still banning gifs and requests for giffs after the infamous "bottle top opener" gif that got Clusterknakker in to so much bother.
if I was a mod i'd run this ship differently. MUCH DIFFERENTLY!!
a) I would demand new members refrain from posting giberish
b) I would enlist a local moneymans help to sponsor Joel Lynch as a joke
c) I would print ansd distribute a "fanzine", these long lost publications are due a come back
d) I would insist on dance lessons for all, especially Unco
e) I would try and get LTLF on Soccer Am - not yet been done
f) I would provide a badge for every new member
g) Always wear a tie

Has the potential to be a very good winger at championship level and I'd like to see him given a good run in the side - I don't think we should be writing him off as I think he has more ability than Ando, and I rate Ando too - when they're both fit, I think we have two highly capable wingers!

Maybe McClaren will give him more licence to get forward.
As an all round player he's not as good as Anderson but he's more likely to score and more likely to find his man with a cross. (I always make a note of the amount of crosses that find a red shirt from him, and its a lot lot more than people give him credit for.)

Much like with McGoldrick I must be an optimist but also just don't see any point in getting on the back of any of our players.
I might have had my judgement clouded by the Leeds goal for Garath and the Palace one for Golders - the times I managed to see Forest last season there weren't that many goals and those two stand out!
Let him get fit though and give him a decent chance and who knows what might happen.

Very under rated.
Anderson used to do that in his 1st season here.
McCleary has not started many games and always been warming the bench.
If he started instead of Anderson and given a run of games he could be quality.
