I know both a Leicester and a Hull fan well, and they both immediately said 'get ready for him to miss a one-on-one every game'. Sounds like he'd fit right in here

That being said, I think he will turn out to be a good signing if we manage to bring in a strike partner to go alongside him. Fingers crossed on the Dutch lad not texting Verhoek tonight.

It depends what you mean a fecking class signing would he get into the starting line ups of Fulham, Norwich, Cardiff, Wigan, Reading, Derby? He is a decent back up though and if he played all the minutes that Cox played we would have scored more goals so he is an improvement on what we have but he wont get us out the division and get 20 plus goals, we need better options with him for an all round front line and his wages must reflect that.

How do you know he won't get is out of the division? Have you popped a long into the future to discover that?

Why do you keep going on about his wages? You don't know how much he is on. But all you have posted about over the last couple of days is Fryatts wages and how they must be this, or they must be that. Why are you so insistent on his wages, when you don't know how much he is on, how his deal his structured, what the wage structure is at the club, or the managers plans for him?

Why not just be pleased that we have bought in a decent player to the club, who is better than what we already have, and stop fixating on his wages;)

Fryatts a decent striker, who is dropping down from the Prem, as Stuart Pearce's first signing at the club.

Cheer up

Some will never be happy.

This player a month again played in the fa cup final and played bloody well

They wanted to keep him. They offered a contract. Therefore anyone would assume he's premiership class. Great signing

That is warped logic he is no where near premier league class otherwise Hull wouldnt of signed Long, Sagbo and Jelavic Hull wanted the back up convenience thats why they offered a contract. I get a feeling we are praising this because of Pearce dont get me wrong he is a cracking back up but he wouldnt get into other top six teams thats where we want to be nobody in the championship is looking at Forest and worrying about Fryatt and co. There is plenty of time left this signing can fall into a better context but there is a definite overreaction to this.

Matty Fryatt has played against us several times, for different opponents.

Ever seen him have a bad game? I haven't.

Undoubtedly, he won't solve our goal problem on his own. But he'll give us an extra bit of quality in that department. We definitely need more firepower but it's a firm stride in the right direction, and the risk is lessened because we haven't had to pay a fee for him.

We don't have a goal problem. Our strikers need to score more but we score bags full from midfield. Pretty sure we finished something like 5th top goalscorers in the league.

By 'goal problem' I meant in an effort to achieve the 85 goal target that Pearce has set. Obviously that can't be done by just midfield, our strikers need to chip in too.

In was implying Mackie wouldn't be starting. Linking up on the bench. Doesn't matter.

that's the sort of problems you get to thinking about when you got strength in dept

Failed hack, Ian Edwards (aka 'Jimmy Gordon'/'The Wolf'), is at it with his shit-stirring on Vital again this morning. Casting doubts about Fryatt actually joining.

 Let me guess, leaving with Pearce if Fawaz doesn't remove all the brown M&M's from the dressing room sweetie bowl? :p

Did he miss the club officially announce his signing or something? :dunno:

Good sign of things to come, Pschyo gets first of his targets, just hope Fryatt gets 20+ to do us proud! What's happening with Lars Veldwijk, has the deal gone tits up?

It's just his usual game Alf.

Hinting that all isn't as it seems in his tiresome "only I know what's really happening behind the scenes" routine.

I must have imagined that photograph that the club posted on the official website of Matty Fryatt in front of the Forest logo, then.

Guess I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue!

It's all a conspiracy.
They want you to believe that we signed a player.

Yeah I agree with you but an improvement on Henderson and Cox is not hard though, just perspective is needed thats all he is not the answer he a bench player for me for a better striker. I dont know why people think I am being negative though just being realistic and as I said the Fryatt signing could fall into a greater context that would make all my arguments null and void we could end up with a strike force of Samaras, Fryatt, Wilson and Veldwijk and sell Cox and Henderson and that would be fantastic, if we end up with a strike force of Fryatt, Cox, Henderson, and Veldwijk then that is no where as good. He has hot 16 in the championship as his benchmark, he always gets injured, he is slow and a little overweight he sounds like Cox but obviously a much better finisher.
