Forest International Watch

Samba's Water Bottle

First Team Squad
Senegal beat Brazil 4 - 2

Niakhate played the full 90 (100?) minutes. Kouyate came on in the 83rd minute.

And I think that concludes this international watch, with updates from all the matches.

Seemingly we have got through unscathed, though we have to see about Elanga..

.

Forest are magic on and off the pitch!
That Senegal v Brazil game was back in June 😂

Senegal lost to Algeria 1-0. Niakhate played 90 mins at left back, and Kouyate came on in the 86th minute.

Will be in Connecticut to see Turner and the USA take on Germany and will be wearing my Forest shirt! If you see the camera zoom in on a Ron Howard lookalike wearing the above, that will be me haha.

I went to the last England game at the City Ground, back in April 2002 (England won 2-1) which was the last England game I saw live, going on Thursday and decided to plonk myself in the Lower Bridgford for the novelty of sitting there.

L.Grant, J.Hoyte, R.Garry, B.Bowditch (D.Fox), Glen Johnson, B.Clark, J.Pennant, J.Welsh, Carlton Cole (S.Moore), G.O'Neil, Darren Bent.

The D. Fox was Danny Fox I think, before he switched to Scotland and a long time before he'd return to play for us.

From a selfish perspective I just see these breaks as an opportunity for one of our key players to get injured, and with that in mind I hate them.

Suppose it can work either way. We obviously have a lot of players jetting off compared to Luton so it might be seen as a disadvantage when they've had 2 weeks together solid training and prep.

But on the flipside, providing they don't pick up an injury, our players are keeping sharp and match-fit by generally playing 1 or 2 games of competitive football whilst the opposition are just training.

There was a u21 game v France around 09/10 at the CG, when Pearce was England manager. Mancienne/Milner played if I remember correctly.

France won comfortably & David N'Gog looked like David Trezeguet.

I remember watching England u-18 at the WFCG back in the 90s, Sol Campbell was playing in midfield and Paul Scholes was up front.

Liverpool signed a few of those young French forwards back then who were so over hyped.

Le Tallec and Sinama-Pongolle were a couple others that immediately spring to mind.

Djibril Cisse was probably the best French striker they signed around that time but his career was affected by 2 horrible leg breaks. I've seen that happen to a player once but I can't recall it happening twice. Very unlucky guy.

Continuing off on that tangent. I saw him play for Auxerre and he was awesome, Collymore-esque. Was really worried when Liverpool bought him!
