On the positive, we get all the games that on balance we are favourites to lose away from home out of the way by the end of October, I only see Newcastle away in December and the Spuds away in April as other games we would be heavily backed to lose after that.

Think continuing our home form until November is crucial and should be doable.

Puts allot of pressure on the home games though, meaning if we start slowly at home we are likely to be routed to the bottom or near it.

The test is 15pts from the first 10 games? Is that possible?

If not, we're in the relegation battle from the off.

I agree but looking at Sheff United over the same period as well as Bournemouth and Luton I think that they'll be feeling the same if not worse.

My fear is that Marinakis is giving Cooper the first couple of months to see if there is an improvement on last season. With those fixtures I doubt there will be.

Luton at home on my Birthday

And Burnley away last game - my mate has 4 ST behind the dug out at Turf Moore through his company with the full corperate gig included (He's from Burnley and been a ST holder since a kid) he's already invited us along so it's not all bad!

Why? 1.5 points per game would mean 57 points for the season, which would be top half. Just over 1 point per game is enough to avoid relegation pretty comfortably.

3 matches each in Oct and Nov then 7 in Dec! Gonna be knackered come FA cup in Jan

Very similar run in to this year, I fear another relegation run in

19th August, I've got tickets for the Hundred at Trent Bridge. Sheff U at home same day?
They'll have to move that one?

The Athletic reckons ours are only the 12th hardest first few games.
Yes, they have ranked that based on the first five fixtures, taking a crude measure of last year's league finishing position of each opponent (promoted clubs have been counted as 18, 19 and 20) - doesn't take into account whether the fixtures are home or away

But one thing they say, which I agree with, is that all clubs will claim there is a conspiracy against them. I have friends who support other clubs, complaining about their start too. Which makes me think its probably random and fair. Lets not be like Leeds etc. and have a chip on one's shoulder (or in the case of Liverpool, lots of chips on both shoulders).
