Financial Fair Play (FFP)

My favourite one that was doing the rounds on social media, was that we were getting the rough end of the refereeing decisions because we sacked Cooper and his old man used his contacts to have referees start giving whatever they could against us.
(Obviously this one ignores all the shitty decisions we got when Cooper was still in charge).

Off to the gulag with these cretins. And most of Twitter too. In fact, off with their heads!

Watching the penalties. Lewandoski stops a couple of times. Are they allowed to do that now?
I was also certain he stopped in his run-up and no, he's not

He is though - the rules changed, so the „stutter-step“ is again allowed now?

Still don’t like brunt’s to this day after having a football match against them abandoned for fighting and then us all getting dragged out of an emergency assembly the following morning. Bit of a surprise when we explained to the head what had gone off he said well done and he‘d sort it, we were free to go! Found out many years later he was also high up or even head of the Notts FA, got my brother out of a bit of bother from a Sunday morning match. Good bloke who did a lot for Notts sport.

While I didn't expect or want us to appeal, part of me is happy the PL is having their farcical rules played out in front of the world. I just wish it wasn't us involved in any of it.

Their timelines dictated there might be this scenario spilling over after season end and they were called out at the time. Fully expect Everton to appeal whatever they get too to complete the mess.

We've taken the full allocated time to consider the appeal so would like to think we are confident that at worst, we stay at the 4 points off.

Gosh that's awful poor urban kids going to better schools than what they have available to them locally. When will someone think of the ruralish middle class kids who will be disrupted by it?

I’d say most who do that will be middle class urban kids though.

It's all about mid-table...
A lad in the boozer said to me he (rather his missus) is sending their kids to a school in Southwell, but he lives in Aspley?

I didn't ask why.

You can guarantee it's not working class kids though. Middle class who can't afford, or choose not to pay, for public schooling.

I live in Halifax and at the 11+ there were kids rocking up from as far afield as Wetherby, which is not exactly known as down at heel.

The Minster School at Southwell has always taken children from far an wide who are talented musically.

Now they bus hundreds of children in from Nottinghamshire, to steal places in Lincolnshire Grammar schools!
I think that is mainly because the Newark schools are so bad.

Yup, the school always had a popular „JD“ (Junior Department) where kids from the age of eight could go, if they (for example) had potential to become choristers at the nearby Cathedral.

The music department was always prized, even in my day, and if you were of even a modicum of musical talent, you could get away with all sorts of stuff, whilst being able to skip some lessons to go and do music.

Similar with sports too, especially Rugby.

Parents pay for private tuition for 12 months in advance to ensure their child passes the 11 plus. The 2 Grammar schools in Grantham have pupils travelling from West Bridgford, Newark ,Mansfield . School buses start at 6.45am

Surely that should have served as an inspiration?

No not at all. To this day if I should hear a female doing like 'dooby do wah wah' I collapse in floods of tears and my groin feelas if it is about to explode. In fact my eyes are watering as I write this post.

West Bridgford suprises me little as they have some outstanding schools there in any event.

I think you missed my point. If we accepted the 4 points the refs/VAR might subconsciuosly think we have now received our punishment and stop dishing it out themselves on the pitch....
Sorry but the Refs and VAR officials will not do that. They are 2 different issues. Finance and on pitch decisions are a world apart. Of stopped bleating about officials they might, but not from.PSR breaches.
