Interestingly our fellow financial rule breakers Everton FC have their motto -

NIL SATIS NISI OPTIMUM

Nothing but the best is good enough!!

That reminds me of the time they found the old Roman remains on the old Church Street site of the Minster School in Southwell (the clergy houses are apparently also built on it) and someone graffitied Romans were here on the fence in Latin, only they didn't get it correct and someone corrected the graffiti...

Only in Southwell

3 years - and I can only remember

amo, amas, amat - I love, you love, we love
I was at Alderman Derbyshire in darkest Bulwell.... barely 20% pf the kids did any French and even fewer did German.... the idea of doing Latin is vaguely comical

Well, I can't contribute any Latin, we barely studied English in Ilson. My school was named after a melon - unless Cantelupe means something else in Latin.

Anyways, I've just listened to the latest price of football. Not surprisingly, there was plenty of Leicester and P&S chat. I didn't know that in 2016, the big six demanded, and acheived, a higher share of global TV money. The reason the rest of the PL voted with this was the threat of the big six leaving for a super league.

They do confirm that Forest, if they want, can move their accounting deadline to the end of July. I'm not sure it would make much difference with player sales.

Mansfield... you are kidding me.
Mansfield actually had a grammar school?
Well, knock me down with a feather.
Still, the class sizes would have been small :)

(N.B.: I am jesting (again) - please do not take the foregoing as being in any way racist.)
Grammar school? Pft, Shirebrook stood out so much and was so unique that it has a Special one. 🕺 💪🦸‍♂️

If memory serves it actually had two. I believe there was also a Catholic Grammar School back in the day.

A song in f***ing Latin? And you have the nerve to criticize jazz?

Latin makes a damn sight more sense than modern jazz, words cannot describe how bad that stuff is.
Now I spent a couple of weeks in New Orleans those know how to do Jazz properly.

No Latin - but studied Russian ( not for long I hasten to add ).

Long enough to be able to blame Ukraine for Forest's FFP charges though.
