Ha, 6 years without a drop of alcohol and Marinakis is the one to break that.

Would expect no less! :ROFLMAO:😆😉

It was never going to a positive day but surely it could have been worse?

Course it could, I actually think we've got off very, very lightly.

But I don't want to see us come remotely close to it happening again, so want to use this moment to voice the greater concerns about those who run us.

As I see it we would have had -6 were it not for a reduction of 2 points by mitigation. Could be this mitigation be because we cooperated so well?

I'm worried if we appeal we are no longer cooperating well and will lose the mitigated 2 points giving us -6.

Take the four, win the games and onwards and upwards next season...

Annoyed with the club for allowing this to happen, and then say it wasn't happening.

As someone that spends a fortune following Forest home and away, then I expect better.

I trust the owners to get things right. I trust the manager to get things right. I expect all the players to give their all for this football club.

Somehow, this isn't happening at the moment. Whatever the reasons are, I want everyone to concentrate now and move on.
Think we should be happy with 4 points deduction

Not looked at it too closely, but don’t we get increased headroom for this season and next as our allowable losses increase over the first 3 years in the prem as the championship limits are factored out?
Yeah we will.

But also, we failed to argue BJs sale should be allocated to last year so we have 23/24 with £47.5m bonus profit now which can be used this year, and the next two.

Yeah definitely, puts us one point behind Luton, and safety.

If we can’t overcome this with the 9 games we have left, which incidentally isn’t as tough as their run-in, then maybe we deserve to get relegated.

Not much point crying about it really, we just need to roll our sleeves up and do our bit.
Going by Saturday's performance we do deserve relegation, let's hope we improve

It’s an open goal if we appeal
Honestly, I don’t think we have any grounds for appeal. I do agree that sounds like ‘our rules are more important than your business’, but, we did spend big in January 2023, knowing we were going to be in breach. Selling Brennan for market value in the first two weeks of the transfer window was always unlikely, and we should not have based our PSR compliance on it.

Overall, I think the report and sanction is fair. Possibly even generous!

I've finsihed reading the report. There's nothing that stood out to me and unreasonable in the context. I thought the club's attempts at mitigation were a bit weak to be fair.

The bits that did stand out were not about PSR, per se.

Firstly, I was surprised that it was remarkable by the commission that Forest did not submit much documentary evidence. Our evidence was about conversations and emails. This stands in contrast to Everton, who submitted 44000 pages of documentary evidence. It does make you wonder how we're run. But maybe that's a wrong conclusion.

Secondly, our business model

Forest’s business model is to acquire players, showcase them on the pitch and then sell them
later at a profit. However, it would take some time to promote some players in the Premier
League shop-window, before they could be sold at a profit
Oh really.

I only have one question,Are we good enough to get out of this mess.Im not sure when i see us struggle to put 2 passes together and the piss poor corners and free kicks..

Yes, but this didn't happen so is largely irrelevant
Just to add, many of us at the time mentioned Johnson’s sale for mitigation as madness in the fact we played him for a few games where he could have been injured - the commission agreed this was reckless.
Yes, but... He wasn't so this again is irrelevant other than to bias the case against us.

I note that the person who has evidently been fired over this debacle is the bloke who updates the club website.

You'd think something like this might warrant a note on the news page by now, wouldn't you.

But as of 16:43 there is nothing.

add in the fact our accepted loses will increase (if we stay in league) we could be in strong position to spend if we wanted next season. Then we would get all the comments that Forest don't care about the rules etc.. from media!

Right- can we stop all the negativity, be thankful we got a fairly lenient deduction & focus on we're good at- creating the best atmosphere in the league

9 games.

f*** the toxicity- let's let Everton wallow in that & get what they deserve whilst we climb above them.
