I agree,I think it’s time to put this sorry episode behind us,accept our punishment with dignity
and move on-putting proper controls in place so that it doesn’t happen again.
Let’s just focus on the football now and try and enjoy the rest of the season (whether we stay up or not).
The last 2 months or so haven’t been a good period for the supporters of Nottingham Forest.

The report said that we believed Atletico needed to sell a player before they could complete on Johnson pushing it past the time limit anyway.

However, the commission said we could have agreed this conditionally which would have been genuine “golden mitigation”.

I've had a quick read through of the judgement and get the general feeling the judgement is largely rational.

The takeaways from it are that Forest appear to have largely ignored their own financial projections, made a couple of irrational assumptions and generally walked straight into a completely avoidable problem.

While the projection of financial losses of £12-17m for the current season is relatively welcome, reading phrases like "golden mitigation" and understanding that minimal records of internal discussions on the subject exist lead to the conclusion that some of those involved are quite simply out of their depth and not possessed of any particular level of expertise whatsoever.

Mr Vrentzos must step down as a minimum, the preference being that Mr Randall also departs to draw a line under the episode.

Is that really the way to run a company with a turnover of 200-300m a year?

Unfortunately, I haven't so far had the opportunity to read through all of the report.
As a company owner (until recently) and director of long standing myself - I am fully aware of the obligations.
I accept serious mistakes have been made and changes need to take place. I can well believe that these documents exist but were nor submitted as they didn't support our case.
My point is more general - I hate to think where we would be as a club if EM had not come in when he did - probably where Derby were 2 years ago.
I honestly think, he thought we would be well clear of relegation this season and a 9 point deduction would be inconsequential. I trust he has learned from those mistakes and we move forward. This is still in our own hands.

I’ve read the full report now.

4pts to me is fair and shouldn’t be appealed.

We only got mitigation based on early notification/plea and excellent co-operation and that’s saved us two points from being a full six.

Our other mitigations are crap, particularly when our finance guy Bonser notified the club in Sept 2022 and then again in Dec 2022 that we would breach unless we sold.

We instead spent more in January and left the Johnson sale too late. They’ve decided we ended up having sporting advantage for the entire 2022/23 season.

Take the -4pts, and try and win a few games.

Annoyed with the club for allowing this to happen, and then say it wasn't happening.

As someone that spends a fortune following Forest home and away, then I expect better.

I trust the owners to get things right. I trust the manager to get things right. I expect all the players to give their all for this football club.

Somehow, this isn't happening at the moment. Whatever the reasons are, I want everyone to concentrate now and move on.
