Financial Fair Play (FFP)

Accept a lower penalty on the basis you don’t appeal simply highlights the corrupt nature of this whole process. It f***ing stinks.

However, given we have to do whatever will best help our relegation fight, I think I’d accept a 6 point deduction, with 3 of those suspended for ‘x’ number of seasons pending any further breaches. At that stage the suspended 3 would get added onto a new penalty. That might encourage us to be more professional moving forward.

On his Price of Football Podcast, out today, Maguire said it had "filtered out to them" that there is a 'accept the reduced penalty for no appeal.'

But let's say the amount is 6 reduced to 4, do you day no, let's appeal to go for a bigger reduction- assuming KDMKC can see a route.

Take it or appeal it?
Appeal - don't let them dictate. Go on the front foot, let us dictate to them our terms.

It's hardly any different to the reduction in sentence for an early guilty plea in Criminal cases in England & Wales

Something that happens literally every day

I thought the EPL had no say in this - it is supposed to be an independent commission.
I am sure Luton, Brentford etc would kick up a storm about this - I know we would

I wouldn’t compare the two, personally.

Our situation is effectively a business transaction that should be governed by clear guidelines. You shouldn’t be able to broker a deal.

Darren Fletcher just said on Forest Focus to not be surprised if it’s less than 4.

I’m clutching at that straw.

Bit optimistic that. Genuinely will be surprised if its less than 6.

Take it and appeal it. They can't prevent you having an appeal. Absolutely no chance of it flying upon legal challenge
