On his Price of Football Podcast, out today, Maguire said it had "filtered out to them" that there is a 'accept the reduced penalty for no appeal.'

But let's say the amount is 6 reduced to 4, do you day no, let's appeal to go for a bigger reduction- assuming KDMKC can see a route.

Take it or appeal it?

Everton's 2nd hearing starts this week probably be Thursday and Friday
Just been on the scouse's forum to find out.
They think the hearing will be this week and outcome next week.
Apparently - the EPL wants everything sorted and agreed before the next round of matched following the International break.
Sounds like a plan - but will never happen

It's a very difficult choice, but if forced I'd say take it. Puts us just one point from safety with 9 games to go, and more importantly ends all the uncertainty that I feel sure is part of our current poor run.

I think this will be the case.
We need to take De Marco’s advice-if the deduction is realistic (say 3 or at a maximum 4) my
gut feeling is to move on so that the players can focus fully on the job in hand.I think the
supporters might also up the volume a bit if the uncertainty is removed.

If you turn down 4 and appeal, what are the chances a successful appeal gets you anything better than a 3-point deduction reduction? Pretty slim I'd say. More likely you'd appeal and get the 4-point deduction at best anyway, plus weeks more of uncertainty.

I agree.

Focuses minds and gets us ready for the Palace game. Chances are we'll be back out of the relegation zone by end of the weekend.

Take 4 points! Appeal if it's more.
If we don't do 2 points better than Luton from now til the end of the season, given their run in, we deserve to go down. Maybe we can play a little better without this hanging around. Maybe if it's "only" 4 points, it will fire luton up. Just take the punishment and end the what ifs.

Surely we will appeal regardless of the sanction? Can't just say "move on" when we could conceivably get relegated by 1 or 2 points.

They can't publicly take away our right to appeal privately is a different matter we could agree then appeal anyway but I'm not sure we would get another refereeing decision again this season not that we get many anyway.
Personally if it 4 I'd accept and galvanise the team

The question is "6 points with a right to appeal" or "4 points with no right to appeal". I'd go the latter.
The other way to look at this is that if it is 4 points then it basically means to have secured survival over a season we would have been OK with fewer points than we got last season (assuming Luton end up on around 30).

So, the points deduction has very little impact on our season really. Not compared to terrible refereering decisions, our inability to defend set pieces, throwing away leads, player mistakes, player attritition, the management fiasco etc.

If we take 4 point deduction then get relegated by 4 points or fewer I don't want to see any complaints about FFP.

Let's just take the punishment and get on with not being shit.

I went to Munich and Madrid too-but nothing beats the first trip to Wembley for me.Clough was
the biggest name in football at the time.
Iwent to Munich and nothing has beaten that since and I don't think it ever will.

Wasn’t Everton’s deduction announced about 4pm? got to give sky something to talk about this evening?

Can our relegation rivals appeal if they think any decision is too lenient?
