They've signed a good chunk of our best players too.
They are somewhat hypocritical, given they breached in 2015 to put them in a seemingly compliant position at all times since and yet some of their fans say that was merely levelling the playing field.
They are like a poor man's Aston Villa really..another club who have spent loads in various ways Lerner via Xia to NSWE yet bang the drum about financial solidity or prudence.

personally I wouldn’t have appealed you do something own it, also it could possibly soften the players attitudes towards the fight thinking we’ll get 2 points back.

Not surprised in the slightest after reading the statement the club put out last week. I doubt a single FFP ruling will go without an appeal, to be honest. You can bet Everton and Leicester will be.

Pretty sure the timeline set is a few days after the season ends to hear the verdict of any appeal. Assumed that’s why the Prem only deducted 4 points as to hopefully avoid the final game of the season ending and there still being uncertainty of who stays ups. Looks like we’ve given 2 fingers to that…

When the appeal concludes. Could be after the season finishes.
I think for the appeal to increase the deduction, the EPL has to appeal. Although that's not definite because of the opaqueness of the regulations.
Two possible scenarios are
- We don't get enough points on the table and we're relegated until the appeal gives us some back and we climb the table!
- We get enough points to stay up but the appeal increases the deduction and this relegates us!

My thoughts exactly…..games could go from we need to win to not the worse result as we might get x points back.
And also I’m an advocate of owning what you’ve done, try telling your other half you only put a bit in so you didn’t cheat that much ……you’ve either done it or you haven’t, let the other clubs get clever with the legals I’d prefer my club to be better than that.
Take the 4, learn, move on regardless.

So this is the point really isn’t it?
Forest have every right to appeal if their expectation was incorrect.
Danny Taylor is always pretty spot on, where has this expectation come from? This is exactly why there’s a regulator on the way.
The EPL is basically f***ing useless at administering it’s rules and will ensure any fictitious rules bend when dealing with the top six.
