Marinakis is a board member of six companies, a city councillor and a few other bits besides. I doubt he is as close to operational decisions in NG2 as we sometimes like to think. My guess is one of the executive team screwed up here.

The punishment should fit the crime. If we get relegated because of whatever the final docked points is alone, then it’s not proportionate. Relegation could be hundreds of millions of pounds and who knows 23 years or longer out of the top flight again.
Us being dealt with now, while Leicester could come up and then get dealt with or Man City not being dealt with at all is criminal. As PSR is clearly not fit for purpose, neither is not Everton should be punished this season through deductions.
Let Leicester come up if they earn it, all teams are then docked points (after all appeals are heard) at the start of next season including City who should be effectively told to play out the year but will be relegated last.

Ahh don't think the fukin walls ah safe.
The owner is the one with the money, he is not the one running the accounts or advising, he just opens his wallet.
He was advised by someone who was supposed to be an expert in this field, Nicholas Randall, that we would be fine against any PSR rules. Since we have found out that we are not, Nicholas Randall has been relieved of his duties and we took every step possible in January to abide by the rules.
This is not EM fault, he is only at fault for having ambition, which at times has been a bit too optimistic.
Also EM has not just invested on the pitch, he is been willing at every opportunity to open his wallet to improve the club. Whether that be the stadium, training ground, marketing and general fan experience.
We are very lucky to have the owner we do, it will not take you long to look around the Prem and realise we could be much worse off.
