I don't think Brentford or Palace are involved.

For either of them to go down it would require Forest, Everton and Luton to leapfrog them. Just not going to happen. Maybe one or two clubs will put a surprise run together but not all 3.

Brentford probably only need maybe one, two max, wins from their final 9 games to be safe. Palace are probably already safe, one more win and they definitely are.
Palace are fine. Brentford's next 3 fixtures are quite tough, so you never know. Unlikely though I agree.

Yes. you're right.

Thank you Evangelos for screwing us up and putting us back into another 23 years of oblivion.
Bit premature, isn't it? Think we need to see how the rest of the season goes before we get the knives out.

He's put f***ing millions into this club, maybe show some gratitude, or did you enjoy the 23 years out of the first division?
If it hadn‘t have been him, it would have been somebody else.

And maybe that somebody could work an Excel spreadsheet and not be such an impudent crybaby.

Pretty happy with 4, wonder if we took the option of lower sentence if we agree not to appeal. The last thing the Prem will want is for any final outcome to still be up in the air after the final game.

If we can't make up the 1 point on Luton over the next 9 games with our squad then bigger questions need to be asked.

WHAT?! You heard it today in Sunderland!!! 🤔

:slap:
He's working away in Luton today.

4points isn't great,but could have been worse.

I truly believe that now the floodgates have opened you'll see team after team getting done,it's not just Everton or Forest, all teams do it somehow and it's a case of being caught which they will.

I think there always has to be the right of appeal.

If we hadn't thrown it away on Saturday 4 points wouldn't have meant a great deal in the scheme of things.

Agreed 100 per cent but all we can do it come together as a fanbase and get behind the team 100 per cent for the last 9 games I think 4 wins keeps us up - beat Palace Fulham Wolves then pick up 3 points on the road we will be stay up on 33 points.

Well there we have it. We need to call this for what it is - an inexcusable failure in governance of our club and community asset and a pretty shameful day in the history of an organisation that has always prided itself on doing things the right way.

Before the charges of disloyalty come flying in - do I think the current rules by which we have been judged are a nonsensical shambles? Yes. Should we appeal to make a point? Yes. But this is not a binary question, it is a 'both and'. We had full knowledge of the stipulations within which we had to operate when we got promoted, and other clubs have managed to both stay within them and stay in the league. Simple accounting was all it took to avoid this, but even that has not proved possible amid the chaos that clearly has a stranglehold behind closed doors..

If four points is what relegates us, then I do not see how Marinakis' position at the club remains tenable in principle (although I appreciate as the owner of the company there is f*** all we can do). The club and entire city has struggled painfully and waited patiently for a miracle for 25 years. Two years ago, it finally arrived. For it be pissed away so the owner's son can get a few likes on Instagram and because he is too proud to approach recruitment in the Premier League strategically would be unforgivable and tragedy.

If we do get away with it, Marinakis needs to look hard in the mirror and swallow copious amounts of pride and face up to some painful home truths. If he doesn't, it'll be back to another 25 years of waiting for a miracle.
