Why would we need to win 5? How many points do you think Luton will get?
I think Luton *could* get another 3 wins. They have some tough fixtures, but also some winnable games at home. Taking into account a possible 6 point reduction, I think we need at least one more, preferably two to be on the safe side - especially as one of those wins will likely need to come on the final day.

Also, if we do get a six point reduction, we'll only be 2 points above Burnley. Everyone's written them off, but they also have some winnable games, including that last one, at home, against us.

What are our predictions for tomorrow?
Unless the PL is going to give us some points back, the club needs to appeal any points sanction.

It’s not a prediction as such really. We’re almost certainly getting a deduction. Probably similar to Everton but I’m hoping realistically for -4 which might just be survivable.

I dont understand how there going to publicly announce its 4/5 as long as we don't appeal its supposed to be an independent commission (yes I know its very unlikely it isn't) but they can hardly announce that's what's happened so if we don't appeal its going to look very dodgy

If the benchmark is everton on 6 who really took the piss, lied, tried to cover up, appealed etc it must be less than that.
We also have the difficulties of promotion / lower allowances as mitigation.
I’m going 5 with 2 suspended for 2 years so a 3 point deduction on the basis we don’t appeal as a worst case. If that’s the situation we should take it and get on with it.
Also think Everton will get more than us for a second offence.
If we get more than 3/4 points see them in court.

The minimum is 6 for this type of breach isn’t it? They might offer to reduce it by 2 or 3 if we don’t appeal, but can’t see the base amount being less than 6.

Marinakis will never agree to that personally I'd take 4 and try to focus minds im not sure we are afford any more after yesterday really
I'd tell them verbally we'll agree not to appeal with a 4 point deduction and then appeal it anyway. Absolutely nothing the PL to stop that happening. Appeal processes are there for very good reasons to review and adjust for errors in judgement, process, fairness and potentially new evidence.
