Can't imagine the points being that high, TBH. If we get 76 points it will be enough, expect some odd results.

Yeah thats what i thought after I updated it but I cant see that if we go on a good run why cant leicester or Brighton so I tried to make it as even as possible but anything could happen Ive got us winning 28 points from 36 which is some going and were going to need that i reckon.

Brightons big downfall will be 4 away matches out of 5 in March as I pointed out earlier, all of that traveling from the South Coast, while we only have 4 games, 3 of which are at home.

Massive, massive advantage to us, and 2 of our games are against teams much lower in the league.

I think that by the time we play them, we would be in a position where if we win we move into 6th at their expense. It's got the potential to be a cracking game.

The last time we got into the playoffs we were in the top 4 pretty much all season up until March when we fell away a bit. We lost the unbeaten home record against Hull and were beaten by Reading and Leeds, dropped out of the playoff places then got some form back in the last couple of games to finish sixth.

It's a bit similar this time around, in the fact that we're trying to catch those teams above us. If we can get some consistency and finish in the top 6, we'll be the in-form team going into the playoffs.

I could get Derby relegated, (just predict derby to lose every match & those near the bottom to average a point per match) Too many scores to input so can't be arsed myself.

Some of you are being too optimistic in predicting Forest to win around 10 of their last 12 games; but also predicting too many points for Brighton.

I see "EmmersonForest" just predicted Hull to win every game for them to reach 96 points....

I think 73 points may be enough for a play off spot: so 7 wins, 4 draw, 1 defeat which would be 25 points from final 12 games. Still tough but you never know....

Although haven't done it myself, do think personally Leicester will fall out the play offs, I think Watford have a shout for winning the league Cardiff are due a slip up, wasn't it about this stage that Southampton fell apart last season?

When I did mine it looked OK at first we managed to get 5th level on points with Leicester in 4th the other 2 being Hull and Palace.

The problem I had was when I looked a bit further down and saw that in mine, Bristol City finished 11th! :D I think SOD's a good manager but not a miracle worker! Then I realised my brain had gone numb halfway through and I'd stopped paying attention!

I got going into final day of season,

5th Leicester 72pts +30 (Forest away)
6th Forest 70pts +12 (Leicester home)
7th Leeds 70pts +5 (Watford away) promoted
8th Palace 69pts +17 (Peterboro home) relegated
9th Middsbro 69pts +7 (Sheff Wed away) needing 3 points to be certain
10th Blackburn68pts +7 (Birmingham away) safe

Needless to say, we finish 5th with leeds 6th (Brighton 3rd, Hull 4th)

Ipswich, Barnsley, Peterborough relegated.

our last 3 games barnsley, millwall, leicester you can tell it's gonna go to the wire....

That away trip to The Den is one of our trickiest ties. I opted for a draw but it's one we could easily lose.

Would depend what's at stake come then as they could be deep in a relegation dogfight if there form continues.

Peterborough won 5-1 there though, could win that if we play to our best

The championship is so inconsistent / unpredictable this season (even more than it is usually in previous seasons!), you just don't know what you are going to get from one week to the next.
I bet over half the results you predict for all the championships remaining matches (i.e. home win, away or draw) would be wrong.

Couldn't get Forest to make it.My final table:

Cardiff 97
Watford 89
Hull 84
Palace 77
Leicester 74
Brighton 74

M'boro 71
Forest 70
Leeds 67
Burnley 64

Given the tightness of the league this season,I think some of the posts are showing too high point tallies for the top teams, but even so I can't see it being Forest's season. Next year ,though...

I've tried this predictor thing before and found it impossible to forget that Forest were in it. Did it once and tried too hard not to show Forest bias and then did it again and just let Forest win every game.

Funnily enough, neither way affected the rest of the season's results.

We've snuck a 2-1 win at the Wendies won our home games as well and finally got revenge on Hull with a 1 nil smash and grab job!

Not been that harsh on any team I think.

I've then done ones for 5 games to go 3 and 1 as well as the final table. But until I figure out a better way of posting them legibly from my phone I won't bother sharing them

But in essence much lower totals than most

1.Cardiff 94
2.Watford 89

3.Palace 76
4.Leicester 75
5.Middlesborough 72
6.Nottingham Forest 71

7.Brighton 70
8.Hull 70
9.Leeds 67

Bolton 66
Blackburn 63

Very tight below this

Derby 55 (16th) for example

Same points as Bristol but not that far above drop zone , Charlton survive on GD

22. Huddersfield 51
23. Wolves 50
24. Peterborough 46

Losing to Barnsley I think it was seems like a disaster but a draw against the dippers on the final day is just enough to squeak into 6th

Hull miss out and Boro recover in my scenario.

After doing that and being quite balanced with the predictions I feel more positive about our chances.

71 points could be enough especially as teams around us will drop points.

Though if we fail to win some of the "home bankers" (I had us down to lose 1 at home draw 1 and win the rest) then it'll be very difficult.

win 6 draw 3 lose 3 is realistic but that would only give us 69pts which would'nt make it i just hope we are the team that puts a long run together, but it changes from season to season 70pts has been enough in the past how many pts did we get in 2011 when we came 6th anyone remember..
