If he's he goes on a free transfer, I can't see the wages being too much of a burden for them.Does anyone really believe that Sheff U will pay the wages Shelvey will demand?

No but they you to fight in any of the local pubs without repercussionDoes anyone really believe that Sheff U will pay the wages Shelvey will demand?
If we continue at prices like £5m for Surridge we could easily raise all those projections. It will be playing the long game for outgoing players, lots will leave late in the window.I think we're overestimating a touch but only by a few million.
Moving players out is incredibly important this summer. We need a tighter squad.
The buying club in this case has all of the bargaining chips. They know Shelvey is done here and we're desperate to get rid. There's absolutely no way they are taking on all of his wages, even if it's on a free.If he's he goes on a free transfer, I can't see the wages being too much of a burden for them.
None of this makes sense. The buying club in this case has all of the bargaining chips. They know Shelvey is done here and we're desperate to get rid. There's absolutely no way they are taking on all of his wages, even if it's on a free.
If we manage to get rid of Shelvey, and that's a big if, it'll cost us either by paying him off in one sum or paying a significant contribution to his wage each week until his contract ends.
We would continue to pay part of his wages if he went on loan.None of this makes sense.
Firstly, Sheffield Utd are running on a tight budget and they need to make quality acquisitions at good value prices. This is leverage against them.
Secondly, if we're transferring his contract we cannot continue to pay his wages or part because that would make us a third party.
It's possible we pay up part of his contract, that will depend on the structure of the deal we have with him. If we back load through appearances and contributions, then it's unlikely.
I imagine the only way they could.afford Dennis is if they sell Gnonto to EvertonHow much would we expect for him? And are Leeds likely to pay it?

How do you insolve a problem like Jonjo Shelvey?A new concept in bankruptcy, sell a player and then pay his wages
How do you insolve a problem like Jonjo Shelvey?
Get a wig on him and tell people he's Phil Thompson? How do you insolve a problem like Jonjo Shelvey?
He is the most logical one to sell to me. He still has value, we could probably fetch close to what we paid for him still.Doesn’t look like he’s travelled with the squad to Spain…
I've read Robbie Fowler's book (it isnt great) but one bit that stuck with me for being so ridiculous was that when he left Leeds for Man City on a perm transfer, Leeds were still paying a % of his wages.None of this makes sense.
