Does anyone remember League 1 Derby County? (STILL the worst team in history!)

A big step up for Wazza, good job he turned down Everton. Or did they never come in for him to begin with.

Never been a fraud mate, he's all about his love for the club.

No way was he just throwing out media-trained soundbytes to Derby fans to milk as massive a wage as he could for as long as possible. That's why he's going to DC, for his connection with US soccer. Nothing to do with the paypacket.

As I said long ago, the next McClaren. He will drain clubs dry, spin his failure as a success, then move on to the next one. Typical f***ing scouse scumbag

Its like some form of Stockholm syndrome that I'm not sure whether to laugh at or pity, I would have thought his chucking the towel in would have brought them to their senses.

He only joined them as a marquee signing as part of the clubs flagrant disregard for financial rules or regulations.

He was paid £90k a week which ultimately is why he joined.

He disrupted the squad to turn against the manager which he also sabotaged by being quite poor whilst contractually having to play every match.

He grasped power and took an underperformed massively expensive squad to survival on the last day over a team only relegated due to EFL sanctions.

He followed that progress by confirming relegation by maintaining a lower ppg record and win percentage than Darren Wassall with a squad that still had circa £20m of players.

Without the points deductions he would have finished 17th.

In doing so he wouldn't allow the administrators to sell players to better the clubs position financially and make it more sellable.

He then tried to shoe in his agent and buddy as owner and left when they didn't succeed.

He's not just a shit manager, the bloke is an absolute snake as well. As you say, he undermined Cocu, had a hissy fit at the prospect of having to sell his players whilst in administration, was in cahoots with Kirchner to try and get his agent a spot on the board (whilst also using his agent's mate Nixon as a mouthpiece) and then f**ked off as soon as he didn't get his own way.

Of all the shocking signings made under Mel Morris, I'd personally rank Rooney as the very worst. He's been a negative influence around the club since day 1 and I have no idea why Derby fans worship him so much.
