Fawaz is kind of like a drug in a way - you take him initially because you think he's going to make things better but slowly over time becomes so ingrained that you can't get rid of him until he brings you to your ultimate demise

Not was HE worth it, but was rewarding someone who helped save the club from relegation 3 times, and give us 2 top 6 seasons worth it?

Absolutely.

On one hand you expect players to give their all for the club and not be as ruthless/selfish, then on the other you want to treat them like nothing but mathematical assets and trim any remote fat we have constantly.

The club culture will never change whilst players remain nothing but an asset.

Anyone begrudging Dex of what he earned is crackers. He's one of the few who HAS earned it.

If you want us to keep treating players like nothing more than financial equations, expect them to do just that back to the club.

LOL!

Really? So, because someone once did something good you reward them by paying them passively over the odds for a ridiculously long period of time?

That's not the way to run a football club. Dexter was paid handsomely for what he did when he was good, all football players these days are paid very nicely. Te contract that Fawaz gave him was plain stupid.

Then you build a culture where players don't feel it's worth putting the effort in.

Dex is one player who earned every penny he got from us. If we become a club that doesn't reward those players, we hurt ourselves.
It's exactly what Marthur did with Morgan, and look how that turned out.

It's all about mid-table...
It matters not one wit Alf !

If Dex had gone to Leicester they'd have had the same outcome, we ALWAYS apparently have 'brilliant players' and whoever has an affiliation with the next 1st division champions, we can use their participation as an excuse to carry a pointless debate on.

We are going absolutely nowhere as a club and we just have to accept this, no matter what personnel.

Good wholesome player was Dexter Anthony Titus Blackstock.

You could never accuse him of not putting in a shift.

Why is the love of money so great in some people it overrides their moral and humanistic compass.
If there was analysis I wonder what % of private landlords fall into the rogue category.

TBF it seems he was paying an agent and assumed he was sorting it all out. Maybe naive is more appropriate than greedy
