I was at pride pk today and was shocked to see some mindless graffiti on one of the turnstile entrance boards. ;D

Surely a latest issue of the NEP is an article to cause injury? ::)

That never really is going to make a decent pun is it

They also had a trailer hoarding parked outside the ground that they have obviously been towing around the town centre in an attempt to drum up interest in a match they have set up to obtain a piece of silverware for their empty cabinet.  :D

We now need to sell our allocation plus any extra or we are really going to be embarrassed on and off the pitch?

Come on Forest, lets get behind the new team and show them dirty sheep shaggers what true support is all about!  ;D

And thats before going on general sale according to my Derby 'mate' who I work with!

This is a great fixture for you!
You can't lose!

This is very similar to the JPT Cup game City v Rovers last season.

A cup that the loser states "means nothing" - which it didn't.

The team from the higher division wins and everyone expects it, they lose and they have to hear about it for ages.

Be good if you can find someone as foolish as me who states to half a pub if we don't win by 3 goals over the 2 legs you'll buy 2 pints and make about 10 of those bets.

Particularly not being in the same division, you don't get the chance for revenge for ages and have to put up with endless drivel about being better - despite the fact they scraped into the playoffs in last place of the basement division etc etc

OK I am moving off my point a little - but it'll be a great atmosphere and you've got nothing to lose. You're not expected to win.

Apart from the supposed "Brian Clough Trophy" going to the bitter rivals of the team he was most sucessful at, and the match being played at there stadium too.

I presume this will be a yearly thing then? Anyone know if it will be at the CG next year, or whether it will always be at Gay Pride Park?

Its not a yearly thing it s an 'every contest thing'

Each time we play the sheep we will be playing for the Brian Clough trophy, a bit like what happens in rugby, when during the 6 nations there are loads of smaller trophies to play for.

I imagine the next time the cup will be competed will be in the league next year!

It will be interesting to see how much the Local lads put into this fixture. I just hope we don't bring Bennett on, he'll end up breaking half the sheep molesterers in half (hmmm saying that)

As the full allocation of tickets havent yet been sold Im thinking perhaps others are in the same boat as me. Initially I thought it was rubbish having so few and that we could have sold thousands more. I was among the first in the q on the monday on my phone to buy one but then the credit ran out while I was waiting. (Grrr I got from 15th to 2nd as well) After I started thinking that the next time I want to see Derby in a match against Forest is when we are in the same division and when it will count for something. Not some sanitized gathering under the name "friendly". The big game with Derby should be anything but.Derby games anywhere are NOT friendly.I want the atmosphere so electric that the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. And the noise to be so unbearable that your ears are singing for days after.I think if we play and lose to Derby just before the season starts then this could have a negative effect on players and fans. I love my team and go to all the home games and I only missed 4 away last season. I live and breathe it but I dont want to attend this match and have the whole thing being demeaned as a friendly.(Im sorry Brians family)
