Personally I think it's because we put players under pressure and not everyone can handle that.

Look at the badge. Look at the history. Look where this club should be.

You must make sure you get us back where we belong. You must play a certain style. You must go out and perform every game. You are not allowed one off game.

The fans demand it. The Chairman demands it. The manager demands it.
I'd be surprised if half our players even know we won the cups in the 70s, even more so if they care. Footballers don't see playing for one club over another as anything more than a job, to suggest they feel pressure due to a fairly arbitrary decision on their part is quite a stretch, in my opinion.

Vaughan seems to me a classic case of play well when on loan, go a bit shit when a perm contract is signed.

I don't like to view or stereotype footballers as robots who don't notice or feel anything, who just do a job and pick up a paycheck. They're still human so I think they can appreciate what it means. Whether they choose to ignore it, or get overwhelmed by it, is another matter.

Even the most dense footballer we have will be aware of what it means to be at our club, and that tension and demand probably feeds its way down from the top. That nervous energy/atmosphere is contagious, even if you're stupid.

Bit of a bump, but his form right now is incredible. I genuinely don't think he lost the ball once against Ipswich. His fitness is always going to be a question mark but he's really showing the form we knew him capable of.

The man himself said he's been on a new training regime with the Physios, including some individual sessions, that is specifically designed to reduce his potential to get injured.

And he's looking now every bit the player we thought we had signed.

He is The Boss at the moment.

Player of the season so far, by a distance. Hope he does well with Wales at Euro 2016, it'll be nice to see a Forest player at a major tournament again.

Yes, yes it will.

I've been quite surprise at the amount of ground he has been covering, into really late into games. He's never the quickest but I remember him absolutely busting his nuts against Burnley running from the middle of the pitch down to left back by the A block just to try and block a cross he was never ever going to get near. You don't see Fox working that hard and even when he's in the left back position already. It's that attitude and work rate that all successful teams are built around.

I still think he's on a 'prove your fitness run' because it's only a couple of months or so into the season, we need to see if he can stay fit for a good portion of it.

If we can keep him fit and playing like he is then a year extension is in order.
A lot of games to go though.

It's always been a case of if he can keep himself fit for me. His talent has never been a doubt in my eyes, although I know a number of fans who have felt otherwise, which has always shocked me personally.

Long time to go but it's great to see him being able to have a run of games. He'd be first name on most team sheets in this division and the last season or so has been such an unfortunate waste of a great talent. Fingers crossed!

From what I've seen the only time his form has dropped from excellent was when he wasn't fully fit but played because we needed him

31 starts, 4 sub appearances for us last year.

25 starts, 6 sub appearances for us this year.

May be prone to the odd injury, but we still get enough out of him to warrent keeping him IMO. Without doubt a key player in keeping us a CHampionship outfit the past 2 seasons.

If he's happy with a year's extension then keep him as backup but we should be looking to replace him in that role this summer

Stop it Alf, he's a good reason why we've been fumbling around at the bottom of the league if we're honest.

No doubt someone will refer to some stat somewhere that Vaughn is the best in the world for pass completion, but he's an emblem for our mediocrity & holding us back when it comes to turning defence into attack swiftly & consistently.

The legs are going, movements laboured & you can walk round him with relative ease.

This is what I hate when we achieve a little bit of success, we then start to fish around for the good in players who've achieved f*** all at the club.
