Hobbs was better at cricket anyway.

I hate the politics that goes with football. For me id play Hobbes and Mancienne in the middle every game, but you just know that because mills is a freedman signing he can't leave him out for long.
Go whitney
Speaking of which....does anyone remember the time when somebody recorded Bobby removing a blockage in her back passage?
I initially thought this was off topic but thinking about the Fox situation maybe Mr Brown might be able to remove the shit we have stuck in our back passage.
Forest have certainly kept their cards close to their chest with injuries. They've had the chance to in recent times to be fair !
I know this sounds harsh but I do think Fox and Lichaj need to earn extensions. A bit like Vaughan & Cohen last season. A lot can change still. Basically what Warbs was.saying in the presser in the week.
Worrall had to be secured as he is a big part of the clubs future and he goes away talking to 98% prem players for Eng u21s.
Eric? I thought he had a very good injury record.
He does.
The injuries weren't tied in with Lichaj and Fox having to earn deals. More a case of waiting like Cohen and Vaughan and let their talking be on the pitch.
Imagine if Danny Fox managed to get another contract out of whoever the new bloke is like he did Montanier

As long as there's a clause in his deal that says must play centre half.

A good display against the side bottom who've only scored 13 goals at home all season... isn't something I hope we're basing contracts on.
Aitor Karanka said:He is happy here, but the main thing now is to win games and when we win those games, we will start speaking about the future.
The players need to earn their position on the pitch every week. If they train well, if they play well, then their contracts will arrive.
But what I like about Fox is that he understands the main thing now is to win games and to think about the team first, then his contract second.
amazing isn't it?
Don't get me wrong, I think Fox isn't a bad player per say. I think he comes in for a lot of stick & is no worse than many we've had. But he's no way up to the standard we require for a promotion push, and should be one of the first names out the door for much better quality in the summer. He's a lower/mid Champ player at best, and how he's still here is bizare.
But this is a perfect example of how stupid constant changes at the club are. Fox is a tryer & someone who gives 100% in training, and when managers get their first glimpse of him they warm to him because of that. Who can blame them for keeping a man who puts all in when they arrive?
A good display against the side bottom who've only scored 13 goals at home all season (to put that into context, even with our latest toothless goaless run we've still scored 17) isn't something I hope we're basing contracts on. It'd essentially be re-signing players which cement us as a lower/mid champ side.
Fingers crossed it's just fluff to keep him motvated until season end.
Which Fox's contract do you want to renew? The terrible injury-prone left back who does not have the legs required by the position in modern football, or the seasoned, more or less reliable as a backup central defender?
Definitely worth another year considering where we are and the current options at the back.
He's the only one that can hold his nerve and is flexible to some degree.
