Last few games has shown me a right back I'd be happy with next season. Perhaps motivation was an issue early on. He certainly wasn't bombing up and down the wing like he is now.

Looks to have clicked better with Ameobi than anyone else including Knockers down that side.

I'd forgotten Christie was out of contract at the end of the season.
As a result, I'd like to see him singed up.
He has taken time to settle, but now he is becoming Mr Consistency.
When will the penny drop that even with a seasoned pro, it can take time for him to adjust to a new team's style, specially when the team in question has gone through more managers than I've had hot dinners.

Absolutely. I was listening to a Chris Bart Williams interview the other day. He said it took him nearly 12 months to settle and adapt to the role he was asked to play at Forest.

what role was that , bart-williams was one of the most underrated player we ever had and played in almost all positions at some point ,attacking midfielder , defensive midfielder , left winger , sweeper , striker , even emergency goalkeeper if i'm not wrong. Was a good captain , nd did him dirty.

CBW was great! Loved him.

But ........ we bought an attacking midfielder, didn't we? Then proceeded to ask him to fit into different roles in a different club. Hardly the same as asking Cyrus Christie to play right full back, especially as both Forest and Fulham, and Ireland, all play 4 at the back. Shouldn't be rocket science for him.

Think this a good sign. He’s been ok at times, particularly going forward and wud do a job. Us not signing, Mit be a for variety of reasons but hoping that we are essentially after more quality in full back roles and not going to settle for ‘can do job’.

Wages probably out of our reach now. Most likely replace him with someone from a European league who is paid peanuts.

i presume jordan will be playing for blackpool in the playoffs so he'll get his chance to impress and claim the rb spot next season

Fulham apparently have the option for another year on him, which they will prob take if they get relegated. Or even if they don't, it might mean they get some sort of fee for him, albeit a low one.

Why would they take an option to pay him for another year when they just paid him to play for another club?.
It’s hardly building for promotion by putting him back in the side-far better to spend some of the parachute bucks they have keeping the existing band together, assuming they have a better right back than Christie keeping him out of the current side?

They have Kenny Tete and Ola Aina on loan from Torino.

Christie and Steven Sessesgnon sent out on loan this year. I imagine they will release Christie, bring Sessegnon back and probably lose Aina.

Although with parachute payments they may be able to keep Aina, who is very good.

Surely we can find a decent pair of fullbacks in the lower divisions. I won't miss Christie.....decent going forward but got skinned too many times by wingers.....including the one on Saturday..
