Yeah, Wes was there, as was most of the first team.  I picked out Breckin, Perch, McGugan, Cohen, Bennett amongst others.

The statue is absolutely brilliant.  I had some concerns as to what it would look like, but it's perfect.

I've never understood why people get so worked up about this.

Why does he need a knighthood? What difference would it make?

Potentially stupid/lazy question...

Does anyone which photo it is based on (was it even based on a specific picture)?

Re: Clough Statue

Just back after a few beers with various LTLF peeps.

The statue is excellent, a superb job and worth all the effort that went into it from the people of Nottingham and everyone who donated online through LTLF wherever they may live.

When the covers came off my thoughts were: "Thank god is doesn't look shit!" then, "Hey, it actually looks bloody brilliant!"

Went back to get a closer look when the crowds had gone and the detail is amazing. It's also bloody huge, even without the massive plinth!

This is the same set of fans that work themselves up into a mardy when we're referred to as 'Notts Forest'...

I posted this in the sticky thread re. statue, but think it's probably better suited to this thread. :)

Today was a very enjoyable day and many congratulations should go to all those guys who have put in all the effort to make it (the statue and the day) possible.

It was a very dignified way of going about things today, the statue looks great, the legends (and Luke Chambers) were out in force, as were the people of Nottingham, doing the great man proud.

What's more, Dylan and myself may have gotten ourselves on TV. Fingers crossed for that one.

I even managed to resist the urge to boo and heckle Doughty and Arthur as the pair of pillocks meandered around the statue in their matching suits.

After forst thinking the location of the statue was a poor choice, I now know how wrong I was. It's very good and the statue itself is beautiful.

Well done to everyone involved, not just today, but in all the preceeding months/years, making today a realityl
Well played guys!

Being a girlie, I have free license to openly blub, which I did.

Incredible tribute to Brian Clough, his family, NFFC and every Forest supporting fanatic.

Will be paying a visit at the weekend to have a little 1-2-1 with Brian myself.

Congratulations to each and every person who helped to make this happen.

I thought today was very well organised and attended, a big well done to everyone involved.

Very glad I made the trip from Newcastle, was great to see and be part of it. It also helps that the statue is bloody brilliant too. Obviously need a bit of 1-2-1 time like TBT, but I'll have to wait a couple of months for the pleasure.

Also - Couldn't find any LTLF'ers today, gutted. Would have loved to have had a pint after, maybe next time.

I only saw them scattered a bit... next time you're down grab a few mobile numbers, Robbie :)

Didn't get out to the pub 'til about 4pm anyway (I think) for a couple of beers with DanR and Alex - so I missed most people aside from quickly catching up with them before the actual event.

Aye, I realised on the train that would have been a good idea. Still, I was expecting to see Chris' ugly face somewhere, lets face it - it does stand out from the crowd.

Chris was on the right hand side as you face the statue with Oscar, Alex and Dylan.

Great Photos on here by all who have put them on. I went down myself from Chesterfield with older family members who remeber all those fantastic times. We had a good day out today. We just felt we all had to go because he gave so much to this club and our history.Like others I was a bit emotional for a forty year old man.

Overall a really good day out with a few beers too.Shame to see Colin up there he his not fit to be mentioned in the same sentence as the great man.He also said that we would never be able to match what Cloughie did well even though he is right he should not say that .He should be aiming for the top- CALDERWOOD OUT!

I know this is about Mr Clough and today was brilliant.

Thanks for all those memories Brian your statue has done you proud.

My photos (first batch) are here. I'll add the rest there when I get a chance.

Currently uploading the video we recorded of the unveiling itself which I'll add to the LTLF blog when YouTube has processed it :)
