Cheers Stu - for getting them up so quickly!

Looks like a fair few people turned up! Can't wait for when I am next in Nottingham - a visit is certainly in order!

Is that next to where Hard Rock Cafe was?

Statue looks f***ing brilliant I must say! Gave me goosebumps. Can't wait to see it for real.

Ordered my dad a replica for Xmas :)

I would of gone to the unveiling if I didn't have many assignments to do on my day off college!
Looks like a lot of people there, looks a really nice statue too. :)

Re: Clough Statue

Just nipped down to see the unveiling. As I had to go on my lunch break I was pretty much right at the back of the crowd, so couldn't get any great photos.

I believe there is a Rice/LTLF photo by the statue being organised for midday on Saturday, so everyone feel free to come down.

Don't be afraid of approaching anyone, especially those with 'Rice' on the back of their shirts.

Looked like a good unveiling all told. They had a big screen up, playing some Sinatra, and showing clips of various glories.

Can't wait to get a proper close up look at it, though.

Re: Clough Statue

It looks brilliant.

There's always a danger of an anti-climax or a disappointment with these things, but it seems to have gone very well indeed.

Re: Clough Statue

I spotted Rice 13 and someone who I assume to be SHJ (no wonder he wears a hat)

They seemed to be heading towards the pub with some pace.

The highlight of the event was catching a snippet of conversation from the two blokes standing next to me : " ... but his granddaughter's not bad looking ... "

Going by the pictures it looks fantastic, a part of me was worried that it'd be a disaster but those fears were entirely misplaced.

Serious ? ffs. Statue looks great. I was worried there may be a possible similar storyline to the Southampton statue but my concerns have been eased. Worth every single penny !!!

I'll get more uploaded tonight - have to go to work shortly - but here are a couple from me.

I've got VERY high resolution copies of all of these (and the other ones from later) - if anyone would like, please PM me and I'll find a way...

(the other two -
"If God had wanted us to play football in the clouds, he'd have put grass up there."
"We talk about it for twenty minutes, then decide I was right..."
and..."I wouldn't say I was the best manager in the business. .......

Re: Clough Statue

Went down about half 12, was good to see such a good turn out :)

Couldn't get too close, but had a decent enough view and went back for a slightly closer look after I'd been shopping.

Apart from Some daft woman shouting at people for standing still when she wanted to get past ::) , it looked a great turn out, many old and young supporters gathering to mark the unveiling and the statue itself looked perfect!

He may have been before my time, but he will always be a legend and now the people of Nottingham have a lasting tribute to the great man.

Well done everyone involved in raising the money and organising the statue - As I said, Perfect.

I have to admit, seeing some of the other photos the profile looked a bit off, but seeing that photo has put my worries to rest. Thank you. :)
