Has Cooper retired Hughton?

He isn't getting another job again is he?

As excellent as Cooper has been from the moment he walked through the door, I'd say Hughton retired himself. Once upon a time he was a decent manager at this level, but the game has moved on since then and he hasn't adapted to it.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did get another job at this level based on his past reputation and the assumption that his spell here was just typical "basket case Forest" (based on what the media are saying, I think most of us agree that his sacking was fully justified), but I doubt his next job will go much better than how things panned out here.

Our current form over the last 6 games is 8 points, 1.3 points per game.

If we extrapolate this over the remaining 36 games and add to the 8 points we already have we will have 55 points, which should see us safe.

That's rubbish mate. You are picking stats to suit your boring argument.

We are currently averaging 3 points a game over the last 24 hours, we continue that then we will end up with 116 points and win the league.

This is the sort of positivity I like to see!

We won't win many games if we keep trying to score goals like that though.

I knew he was holding us back, but not as much as the last few games have demonstrated. He did a brilliant job of making our squad look much, much worse than it actually is.

Just an awful fit.

We should have changed to a more positive style & manager when Lamouchi went really. But better late than never.

He's a proper football manager with a great CV and experience at getting teams promoted.

He'd never be stupid enough to send a team out to attack and try and score goals.

That's no way to win games of football.

Just look at his entire demeanor during his time here, never really looked like he wanted to be here stood on the sideline with a face like a slapped arse looking bored and uninterested. Whether we won lost or drew he never showed expression either positive or negative. Never acknowledged the fans and clearly had an awkward relationship with the players

Now compare that with Cooper who's animated, always smiling and genuinely buzzing to be working with the club. The players seem to have taken to him like a fly on shit and its good to see a manager putting his arm around the lads and letting them know they've done the team proud. Sending them off to get their praise from the fans and also coming over to show his appreciation to the supporters with his notorious fist pumps. Might not seem like much but those are small things that get everyone on board and pulling in the same direction, along with the results of course

tl:dr f***ing love Cooper I do

It's not just the upturn in results and performances, but the general vibe around the club since Cooper came in is extremely positive, his enthusiasm is infectious and has given everyone a lift.

Hughton's Forest and Cooper's Forest feel like two completely different clubs.

Never been more against a manager than Hughton and don't think I will be again. I got to the point where I thought he was deliberately trying to get himself sacked because too many of his decisions were ridiculous and we never tried to score under him.

Never want to think of his time here again.

I thought he was a good appointment at the time, and generally I like to see us give managers time but being a Forest fan under his reign was just depressing as f*** really.

He only survived so long because of his past achievements, much like Gary "got West Brom promoted twice" Megson. Don't think I've ever felt so relieved to see a manager go.

I don't think it's the best kept secret to say that his relationship with the club behind closed doors was not a good one. He wanted players that he wasn't given (club didn't want to make long term investments in a short term manager) and then used every opportunity he could to mention how we was 'lacking quality' and he was 'having to make do with what he had'

Did he genuinely believe that or was he making a statement due to the board not backing him? Well that's not for me to say, but I think we can all finally agree that we moved on at a time where minimum damage was caused and we can all focus on a exciting future
