He knows he's done at his age now, he's said in the last few days that his taste of coaching Davies while he was out injured had given him a taste for coaching and he's going to pursue it.
Good on him. Just that small video from a fee seasons ago where he is showing Davies a video about movement in the box said enough to me that he would be a good coach for strikers.

Get him back here as a coach.

Wood absolutely gets another year for me - game not based on pace and injury wise we over played him due to necessity in recent weeks.

I'm also hoping this is the second time we see him ruled out for a couple of months to find him back with the group again soon after... a boy can dream.

My back and forth in the Aina thread reminds me to update his running total here: goal v Luton puts him in double figures, with 9 in the prem and 1 in the cup. 8 points earned from his return this year.

If his goals help us to survive again, that £15m fee which many of us baulked at will seem like steal.

If we go down, I expect he'll attract attention from one of the clubs which replaces us, if not a surviving PL side.
Absolutely, Frank.

I love the guy, I think he had a raw deal from alot of Forest fans.

Was it poor or did he ever really get a chance to link the play? I can barely remember him being involved aside from the goal? I guess that may not reflect too well on him!

He certainly know ls where the onion bag is though. Must have a pretty good shots to goal ratio. Credit to Nuno for getting wood scoring.
I remember him giving the ball away two of three times in the first half. But all is forgiven obviously. I’m picking him for the rest of the season if fit.

The shot to goal ratio I was talking about….

I thought Origi did ok again. Didn't think he was the problem today.
He’s not awful. I just think we have better in wide positions, for me he shouldn’t start ahead of Elanga or CHO, and probably Reyna, though I need to see more of Reyna really.

I’d give him a try in the middle if the worst happens and Wood and Awoniyi are both out, but that really would be a desperate situation.

Fabulous goal today. I said when people were getting on his back that he'd be an excellent player for us and he has been. But I dread to think what happens if he gets injured again.

Out of contract in the summer.
If I'd have said this last season, I'd have wanted to check myself into a padded cell but can we not keep him, no matter which league we're in.
He's a goal scorer and if we did go down, f*** me, he'd tear the arse out of the Championship, even if he gets injured a couple times.

Give him actual decent service and he'll finish.
