He was never as bad as people say, his only really bad game was Leicester where he was way off it but that was symptomatic of playing a system which doesn't protect players.

Now wide players are doing defensive work and we have numbers in the middle most players look better.

Only heard first half on the radio where Hodge said he was lucky not to be booked, but watched second half and he was outstanding.

He is actually someone that hasn't had much in the way of a pre-season because he was released by Palace in the summerso he's been getting up to speed on the job as we signed him quite late. That said, he was great today but then you expect that when you bring in a player that's had the career he has. This is his 9th season in the Premierleague and he has 83 caps for Senegal who are no shit team either.

He was,you need a beast in midfield to match the physicality of the Premier League-also,it’s noticeable
since we put 3 in midfield we’re not being swamped in that area.

Today's performance changed my mind on him, looked really solid and composed a Veira-esque performance.

His antics towards the end of the game were superb too, getting the crowd going and running up and down the dugout cheering the lads on. Clearly he's loving being here and the win meant allot to him.
