Must admit I thought Freuler was one of the biggest disappointments of all. I just think we get overrun in midfield with him there.
I take the point though thought he did well in patches. It's more about him providing a calm, experienced head and covering multiple spots. I think he's done though given how much he was used in the run in.

If he does go, he'll deserve a little place in our hearts for that brilliant performance against Liverpool at the City Ground. He was the heartbeat of a victory that made it possible to think of Forest again as a top-rank club. That game alone was worth whatever we've paid him.

Great shout, i'll miss Big Don if he goes because he gave us that presence in the middle that funnelled the opposition out wide. His cameo when he came back from injury against Brighton was another huge performance. And when he went off at home to Bournemouth we completely went to shit, that was the game i realised his importance to us because i was indifferent about his signing last summer.

I am still fuming about that Bournemouth second half performance, f***ing hell :ROFLMAO:

Don't hear from him directly very often at all but he seems to have a wise head on his shoulders

There is a reason he's always been in and around the squad, he is like a manager when he's on the pitch.

Thought he was good v Wolves after such a long time not playing, he made a couple of tackles which set the tone & people can slate him for missing that chance, but he created it with smart pressing. I have always liked Kouyate.

What's he expected to say though really?

"The manager is a dickhead who never picks me."?

This is all standard player/media stuff and you can rest assured that if a change is made the players will be coming out saying how training is now different and they need to knuckle down for the new gaffer etc. In short it's all just media-trained soundbites with no real meaning.

It's unlike you to put a negative spin on things Omar. Are you ok?

Why not just DM Eyupmeduck and request him not to upload stuff like this if it bothers you that much.

His appearance V Burnley in the cup was truly dreadful - impressive that he could step in to such good effect couple of months later without playing in between, though a good reminder that we definitely have better midfielders in the squad... If they can find the same level of commitment.

Or, alternatively, he is genuine in what he says. And given that he has been on the fringes I think his words carry more weight.

"I won the lottery once, but unfortunately it was on a Wednesday night.

I couldn't sleep that night and so I ended up banging my head at work the next day and had to have a couple of days off. I even missed overtime on the weekend....and it was time and a half.

What am going to do with 20 million anyway?" said Omar.

He's been dreadful pretty much every time he's stepped on the pitch since the World Cup.

Did OK against Wolves though & I wouldn't be surprised if he started again v Tottenham as it will almost certainly be a sit deep/25% possession job.

The Premier is especially hard for midfielders in my opinion. It chews them up and spits them out. So it's not uncommon for a midfielder coming out of hibernation to shine in a match if he has the level of commitment required. Fresh legs.

It's not uncommon for a midfielder to appear to have a poor game especially when he is not hiding and putting himself out there being prepared to sacrifice for the team.
Doing all the dirty work and then a striker who has been idle for most of the game snatches the winner and grabs the glory and the headlines
