For winning the ball with a perfectly timed and safe sliding tackle! Was it for being too good at corners and free kicks?
Didn't he get one for us that way too?For winning the ball with a perfectly timed and safe sliding tackle!
Shocking decision.
I'm not sure tbh, here's today's though.Didn't he get one for us that way too?
Not a red but can kind of see why the ref gave it - he'll say it was out of control and two footed, I'd argue one footed with trailing leg, in control and ball winning. Shame for the lad.
Disagree, I'd say he was fully in control and no danger at all. If that's a yellow may as well make football "touch football"Was worthy of a yellow. Definitely on the wreckless side of over committed.
Quite clearly gets the ball, never a free kick mind about a yellow card. EFL officiating back to it's best in week 1.Different angles, clatters the player because he's not in control.
That makes it look even less of a yellow. Mental decision.Different angles, clatters the player because he's not in control.
VAR wouldnt have changed it because it was two yellows - one of the stupidest rules around that you can review a straight red but not two yellows.Complain about VAR all you want, it reduces the margin of error by quite a bit.never a sending off
The issue with reviewing 2 yellows and a red is what if the first yellow wasn't a card worthy but the second is.VAR wouldnt have changed it because it was two yellows - one of the stupidest rules around that you can review a straight red but not two yellows.
I think cards should be reviewed by the VAR when the game is going on.The issue with reviewing 2 yellows and a red is what if the first yellow wasn't a card worthy but the second is.
Do you review both? Do you review the most recent? Is it fair to have 1 red rescinded because it was the second offence but not the other as it was the first?
All interesting talking points
Nailed it!!There’s no room for pragmatic or logical, only cosmetic or superfluous
Haha I’m sure that’s a common theme most of us can relate to.Nailed it!!
Also sounds like my work place
Then you’d have to argue that every challenge has to be reviewed constantly for the ones that arent given?I think cards should be reviewed by the VAR when the game is going on.
It wouldn't affect the game because they could do it whilst it's happening. That's an easy implementation that would benefit the game, it's far too logical to actually be introduced.
