I was surprised that no one from the Premier took a shot on him, even as a back up, given the trend for football playing GKs and his ability to slot straight in to that kind of system. Well now he is Prem, and well deserved.

The showman gene in him will absolutely love it in the premier league. Just hope we have enough as a team for it not to be one way traffic.

Samba only has 1 year left on his deal, should be one of the top priorities to get a new deal for him.

He deserves it, I have said before I would be happy if he's our keeper for the next 5 years. He is 100% good enough and will only grow with the expeience of the Prem and you are right when you say he will absolutely love it.

His heriocs in the semi final are the reason we are here celebrating now, it must never be forgotten. Hero.

Absolutely. He's been f***ing brilliant and I hope he's here for many years to come.

I would bet Dane Murphy has a new contract for M. Samba somewhere very close to the top of his „to do“ list.

tbf, I think that's just him playing up to his persona, unless he was carrying the performance over to the post match celebrations, he was limping round the pitch, had massive strapping on his leg and a bag of ice down his shorts, that's some comitment to the bit!

I thought he was just trying to give Horvath some minutes on the pitch, but perhaps I'm reading far too much into it.

he was injured and i think he didn't want to jeopardise the result by not being able to kick the ball in case someone would send it back under pressure in the last minutes.

perhaps if he was injured on the other leg then he would stay in the pitch. but that was his good left leg i think

It looked like he had a massive gash on his left thigh, presumably that would impede his mobility and ability to kick the ball, with it being near the end and with us having another change left (and a 4th if it went to ET) it's no decision to make really.

As had been demonstrated between the Stoke match and Horvath going on international duty, he is more than good enough, though he doesn't pass as well as Samba and doesn't command his area as much, he would have been better than Samba in that state.

The substitution probably wasted more time than the 30 seconds they allow for it too ;)

Oh, you're all right, of course.

I just couldn't think how he got injured and the TV people are usually so good at pointing these things out.

There's no way Forest make a goalkeeping sub in injury time of a play-off final when one nil up just to waste some time.

He was injured. He might have wasted more time coming off the field, but he needed to come off.

You've got to love him, I was half hoping it was going to be followed up with a post including a middle finger and dcfc tagged
