Brice Lauriche Samba - „Magic Hands“

Nothing against Brice, definitely one of our better keepers in recent times and I think he would have made the step up, but Henderson is a better keeper so it's an upgrade.

A real shame that we won't get to shout 'SAMBA SAMBA SAMBA' in the prem.

Such a modern keeper, outstanding with the ball at his feet, I've never seen better distribution.

Henderson is only a loan though with no buy option remember & I can’t see Utd selling him on so come this time next year it will be Horvath, a competent keeper but out on loan to Luton for the season, so Brice possibly leaving is perhaps not the best option.

We could keep Samba here for a season and have an unhappy player, who will leave on a free within 12 months.

Or as the club have done, invested in a promising keeper, who wants to be here, wants to play at World Cup, and whose wages would be covered by the fee we recieve for Brice.

So still in same position next season, needing a perm keeper, however Forest will want to be in prem and may not need to invest in other areas of the team as much as they will right now. Can look at a new keeper when required.

Yeah 100% got to get Henderson in and let Samba go if that's what he wants. I'd still be very surprised if there wasn't more to all this, but as far as replacements go there aren't many better...I hope lol

a brutal end

a pretty good keeper, just not a keeper

we'll never know the ins-and-outs of his departure

always had a nagging feeling about his reliability to get caught up on the moment in the premier league and you wonder if that played on minds at the club - I said after the Blackburn game, that he'd get a red card with 3 games and sure enough he delivered a couple of games later, while for the most part he didn't return to previous antics, was it ever far away?

his penalty saves in the play-offs are unforgettable and he'll live long in my mind for that

have a great Future Brice

Unfortunately not the glorious parting-of-the-ways I thought it would be after his crucial role in getting us to the Promised Land. Will miss you, Brice, and thank you, thank you, thank you. Hope you remember your time Trentside with a smile.
