Do we need to swap the words in the thread title and rename it "Brennan Johnson - Price?" ?
I don't doubt there's been times Johnson has carried us. Absolutely. This is just pure recency bias.
Brennan has carried us at times this season specifically when MGW wasn’t on form, we are trying to build a team not dismantle one.
If we sell our best players we need to be compensated accordingly. 60m does not go far in this league when you are looking at the next level of player.
It's difficult to comprehend how big those lads are until you actually see them; they're not just towers of men but Christ, they're behemoths carved from stone. Saw Lawrence dallaglio once in Cardiff Market when wasps were in town and I couldn't believe it. I played semi pro as well.
Like I say recency bias.I don't doubt there's been times Johnson has carried us. Absolutely.
But our best shape, and our best performances came without him in the team.
If you play MGW, Johnson and Taiwo you end up unbalanced given our current makeup, and right now, he's the worst of those three very good players.
Look, I'm happy if he stays. I hope he does stay. But if 60m buys us two top drawer players to replace him, in areas which we need to strengthen, then I can live with it.
Think you might be overestimating what £60m gets you in today's market. We'd probably have to spend a decent chunk of that just replacing Johnson with someone equally good.I don't doubt there's been times Johnson has carried us. Absolutely.

Results were good in Jan (with a very kind run of fixtures) but performances were rubbish generally. The best we've looked this season has been in the last 5 weeks or so of the season when we added more mobility and dynamism to the midfield. Basically since the second half at Anfield.Like I say recency bias.
Our best run of form was in January after the World Cup break when Johnson was on superb form.

You've seen how Grealish has come on at Citeh? Proves he isn't that thick.
It's a good point - yes, probably.Would you, with hindsight, swap Johnson for both MGW and Awoniyi if that was an offer on the table?
Yes, with hindsight, but both were unproven in the Premier League at the time of when we signed them. Those sorts of deals could go either way. Fortunately for us, both worked out but it won't everytime.Would you, with hindsight, swap Johnson for both MGW and Awoniyi if that was an offer on the table?
To be fair if I was from Birmingham I wouldn’t want to admit it on tv either
Even if we can keep all of them fit for the majority of the season we’d improveHe ain't leaving. Jonno's development is synonymous with the teams development.
If Coops can extract another 10% from him, MGW, Yates, Niakhate, Danilo, Taiwo and, Mangala, and you have to believe he can, then we are set fair.
Brennan Johnson - NOT FOR SALE!Do we need to swap the words in the thread title and rename it "Brennan Johnson - Price?" ?
Or Brennan not at any Price Johnson.
You could always tell he was a wrong 'un. Antony. Same as Bruno Fernandes. Horrible auras about them.
But United fans love that. Let them carry on. I bet they'll have a petition to bring Mason Greenwood back soon enough.
Absolutely no chance Cooper would allow someone like him in his sideWorryingly I've seen a few suggestions of Greenwood to us from fans online. Madness and I'd hope it wouldn't even be considered
Still expecting that to be retweeted by some apparently itk twitter accounts.Seems legit…
