MGW is clearly better, we agree with that, yes?

Taiwo scored 0.64 goals every 90 minutes.

Brennan scored 0.25 every 90 minutes.

If the first game of the new season tomorrow, Brennan would be on the bench, for me. That's not knocking him, at all. But it's 2 of the 3 for me.

Given that, I reckon it'd be madness to not consider 60m for him. He could become a star, but equally he may never reach those levels.

That was a genuine accident though. Neco's looking surprisingly recovered from that given that he'd been whacked in the face though you'd imagine he'll need to play with protection for a bit and probably has had to have the jaw wired.

The notion that he wouldn't make our starting XI now but there are a queue of Premier League clubs that would pay a fortune for him does make me chuckle, it has to be said.

Brennan started all but one of our Premier League wins this season (Arsenal at home, where he was left out of the XI for tactical reasons), so the "we improved when he wasn't playing" line doesn't ring true for me; most of our points came when he was in the starting XI this season. We'd be a Championship club without him right now.

It says a lot about how poorly thought out that bullshit Daily Mail article was that Everton fans are also taking the piss out of it.

Seem to recall Everton offering 1 million for Brennan as a schoolboy. Surprised that Fazza didn't cash in to be honest. Whatever happens, he's going to be our most profitable academy graduate one day!
