Karteo-does the big man particularly value family values and gives those players who families are particularly prominent in their life’s extra attention. Or is it purely that those who have ability will be rewarded and it’s just that Johnson has quality n good family behind him.

One of our own, a genuine Forest prospect who has come through the ranks, and a player who has all the attributes to play at the highest level.

If you aren’t jumping around like House of Pain to this news, well, you dead already.

He likes stories. A story can be a history with the club, or a club soldier, or a top notch professional, or a fan favourite. But he likes, and rewards, stories.

as GBG put it, he likes stories. he values the family values and what they represent to a person but besides this he values the stories behind a person. There are too many pretty much unknown cases where he helped people without any benefit for him. it doesn't matter to him whether the person is a high profile player or a lower level employee. He is a very emotional person in reality. Perhaps you saw that during and after the Final.

that's why i never doubted that he will sign Johnson. i said that i would be very surprised if not.

That’s positive, as what we have seen from cooper he seems to have similar values and places massive emphasis on family and love ones and ensuring players respect this support. I just think it’s brilliant that we have owner, CEO, manager etc all in harmony and doing an amazing job. I know we do appreciate him but I wonder if we need to show our love to Marinakis and whether he could be at centre of a pre-match display.

Great point, the players and Cooper have rightly had their adulation. Marinakis, his son and the Greek contingent deserve some love as they've got the club moving in the right direction again.

How many times have we lost our talented young? Too many. Finally we've been able to keep some of them. Forget Spence, keeping the local lads here feels extra special. You can see it means as much to them as it does to us. Damn it feels good to be a Forest fan now.

Brilliant news. It would have been so disappointing to have only had him in the first team for 1 season (or even less!) before having to sell him.
One of the many reasons that getting over the line at Wembley was so vitally important for the future of this club.

Also massive props to the club for holding their nerves in January and turning down offers then, knowing we'd get less in the summer if we didn't go up.

It’s like the Swiss family Robinson at the CG currently

A proper contract being signed here, not just a blank piece of paper.

Is that his family behind? If yes then that's a proper statement there. And actually proves my earlier points about the family involved on this.

This sends such a positive message to players thinking of joining us, fans, kids. Yes-it’s unlikely he’ll be here for ever but it’s maintains some of that good vibe from Wembley and having a local lad, ‘one of our own’ as possibly our star player has so many positive wider benefits.

Big Tifo of Marinakis with “I don’t want to promise things” on the top and “I want to deliver things” underneath

I want to see a Tifo of „Big“ Evangelos in the style of The Godfather saying „I made him an offer he couldn’t refuse…“

He’s going make his mark in the PL. He’s likely to make his mark in the World Cup too. Therefore, likely we’ll part ways this time next year, but full credit to Brennan for looking after the club if all that does happen.

Interview with him in the Athletic today:

For those who don't have a subscription a couple of key takeaways:

Say's there was never any chance of him leaving in January.

Went all out on the charm offensive to get Neco to sign with us during their holiday together in Greece

Team doesn't feel like they're in the Prem to make up the numbers they plan to be in the prem for years.

Says the new signings have fitted into the squad very well and that the core group who were there last year have made it their goal to make sure everyone fits in.

Says the FA Cup run was a great help to the dressing room vibe and they've watched the run against recently to teach them how they need to play against Prem teams. To go toe to toe with them.
