Brazil v England

It's all about mid-table...
I'll save Tutts a job and get this thread rolling

Kick off 8pm. England getting slagged off from all directions and so I dont think this will be the thrashing that many expect, the team and Hodgson will have their backs up and put a shift in trying to curtail the men in the golden shirts. Brazil are not as fearsome as they once was so could be interesting. A loss would be "acceptable" by the supporters and media but it depends on performance and how big a loss.

Owd Salt & Vinegar aint too impressed. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22707529

Overpaid wankers.

Looking forward to this game. It's good in the summer when club managers aren't around to give international-friendly-bashing soundbites that claim these fixtures get in the way of the all important race to see who is England's fourth best club side. Would like us to play in an unusual combination of our home and away kits like we did in '84 (and Forest would tend to do at Portsmouth away) but I'm guessing it's going to be the full away strip seeing as we just launched it?

Has he singed yet?
On a side note, I hate it when forest mix and match shirts and shorts. The red shirt/black shorts combo that sometimes makes an appearance makes me want to cry. :weep:

It's not our fault though that some other, inferior clubs have stupid kits that clash with the mighty garibaldi red though.

The FA ought to sort it out, but then, they are useless at anything. Other than organising freebies for themselves to exotic places like Brazil.

It's funny but when we beat Brazil at Wembley the other month, the press were full of praise and Brazil were written off as past it.
A cruddy away game in Montenegro and an insipid draw with the Irish and people are predicting a cricket score in favour of the Brazilions.
I think for this match, Brazil plan to use more of their locally based players rather than the European based ones used for their travelling road show. This could well give them a bit less quality but a bit more heart.
Plus we saw in our match in Sweden how people want to put in a good performance at the opening of a new national stadium.
I'm thinking 3-1 to Brazil.

I see Rooney is being heralded as the most important player again and how pivotal he is.

I'll never ever forgive him for 2010 in South Africa, his mush was forever it seemed on our TV screens with Nike bigging him up to the heavens as the saviour of the England team, he was a demi-god whom we should all be quaking with excitement how he was going to beat teams literally on his own.

He was arguably the WORST player in the whole tournament. :wanker:

I really dislike the black shorts. But I like to see a different red and white combo perhaps once a season (that presumably prevent a short/sock colour clash for the benefit of those watching the goals back on a black and white tv?)

I'm convinced Frank Clark is responsible for Forest wearing red shirts with black shorts away from home. It only ever seems to happen when he's around (and for the short hangover period after).

I liked it when we wore white shirts, black shorts and red socks. Away at West Ham in late 80's was one example. looked good. I agree with Col though. Not keen on red, black, red. I do like the fact that Forest always try and wear red when possible. Not like some tin pot clubs who wear the away kit when there is no clash.

We wore our away kit at Leeds this season which was a bit odd. But I agree we do mostly wear red when we can, unlike other sides, I realised posh never wear blue when they play us at our place which i found really strange.

Leeds must unnecessarily wear their away kit more than any other club.

Don't think England will win but its quite an honour for us to be the first team to play at new Maracana.

Occasionally Norwich get so bored of having no reason to wear their away kit they just wear it anyway.
