We've already done a thread like this a few days ago!

That was 'in recent years'.

Best performance I've ever seen was probably the 2-0 home win v Ajax in the European Cup semi final.

Probably wasn't our "best" match per say, but beating Boro 4-0 is the one which always sticks in my mind as most vitally brilliant display. We won the season there and then IMO with the way we dominated Boro and leapfrogged them on goal difference. As a display we pulled our pants down, put our hands on our hips, smacked them in the face with our stiffy, and sent the message "we are the MacDaddy's.com. know your place - beneath us with the rest of the league bitches. Your feeble attempts to match our length and girth only embaress you". Great day.

7-1 at Hillsborough for me, we were irrepressible.

So gutted I only listened to that match :(

I remember my old man going to that game, (didnt take me as i was playing myself) on a mini bus with his mates and after the game they were so happy they piled into the legion up there..... i remmber him getting dropped off at our front door as he had lost the ability to see he was that drunk.

My old dear was not happy.

Didnt we beat them 4-1 at home the same season and Pressman had an absolute blinder of a game... that could have gone the same way as well?

Sheffield Wed game hands down. Collymore and Bohinen were unplayable that day. I was only 14 but remember recording the game and showing everyone the goals. The cup finals obviously good as well particularly the atmosphere at Wembley against Luton. (Seems a long time ago)!

All this, happy days.
84/85 season 2 nil down to man utd, came back to win it 3-2, method scored with a free kick to win it, followed by a cracking night in town and pulling some tart in the Astoria.

Without getting Chelsea of today and the shadow of the side we beat 7 nil mixed up. The performance on that day was still outstanding.
As one sided a game as I can remember,

The away leg at Cologne.

Not a great game but the way we went about the job and just did what was needed.

Oh for a SVC again. Whatever league we're in next year I hop we sign one from somewhere  And a Steve Stone for that matter.

The Wednesday game was unbelievable too.
As for SVC, what a bloody talent. But we had a great team to compliment him too. Completely hypothetical ND no disrespect to the players that played for us then, but how good would we had been if we kept hold of Roy Keane and he was in that side.

Definatly this it was my first match and was sat with in shef wed stand only dared celebrate after 5 when the sheff wed fans had left!

I went in the wednesday end as well after turning up without a ticket for the Forest end. Wednesday fans started to cheer our goals towards the end so I joined in! Can't remember who scored, but think Bryan Roy got a couple?

I blagged a press pass for the game after the 7-1 and thought I was on a winner. It was a tame 1-1 with Stan scoring right at the end!! Did I feel let down, especially as my camera broke as well.

I went to that 1-1 game vs West Ham too. Bit of a low-key performance after the 7-1, but they won 3-0 vs Leeds I think when I went again later on in the season.

Collymore had a shot from outside the box against West Ham saved by Miklosko I think and when interviewed he said the Czech 'keeper had "hands like dinner plates".
