BBC Match of the day farce.

Are there seriously people on here who think Linaker is in charge of the editorial content on MOTD and and not just following a script?

And I really hate to break this to you people, but that average neutral viewer is far more interested in what happens in the Man City, Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal etc etc matches than the Forest match.
Indeed and I bet most of the fans in the league moan that they're not featured enough, just like most fans think that refs hate them. It's just the nature of football supporters.

I just fast forward the bollocks in between the football anyway. I find him entertaining but I'm sure I'll survive if I don't hear Ian Wright's opinion on something.

I thought MOTD were quite good on Saturday.

They showed just how good Brighton were, and how many players they got forward into our box at times. I didn't need them to show all the times in the first half we obligingly gave the ball back to Brighton.

I think you have to remember that Match of the Day is as much an entertainment package is it is serious football coverage and they have to cater to the (albeit small) number of people watching who know nothing / don't give a shit about football

The highlights and analysis will always reflect that
