We need a playmaker. Most teams in the top 6 have a couple of play makers. They might not be as good as Reid, but without him we're currently not doing enough. So that's not consistent with other top teams in this division who are scoring goals from open play regularly. The irreplaceable argument is not accepted.
That said, on paper we should still be more than good enough. But even with landsbury, Osborne, tesche, Vaughan. ... we're not creating enough.

Maybe a blip..... we'll see where we are on Sunday.

Most players at this level can be replaced, but I'm failing to think of one for Reid.

I doubt SP will even attempt it but will rearrange positions, formations and tactics to suit those of our players who are physically and mentally fit and available.

With a bit of luck, it won't be for too much longer, and he will feature against Cardiff on 18th.

looking at the team and the bench tonight, i think we are really in need of a creative midfielder on loan. good defensive and attacking options on the bench, but no one but a unproven 19 year old to shake up the midfield or replace any injuries if needed.

fine perhaps for a top half finish, but we'll need an extra edge to end up in top 2 i think.

That was exactly my thoughts as we pulled into Wigan and saw the team sheet and bench.

Same midfield of Tesche, Lansbury, Burke & Osborn will get us nowhere.

And it didn't

But when Fryatt came on we seemed better.
