All those:

"He's past it."
"Didn't want him anyway."
"Only joined you for the money."
"Not good enough for us anymore now."

Type comments from Hammers fan when he signed for us are going to go awkwardly back in the box.

Hopefully they saved those hilarious £5 notes that they mocked up with him on as well.

Sure Talksport will be losing their shit about it too.

Only gone there for the money, going to be paid £200k per week...Judas bastard!

I hope they still have Jessie Lingard notes to throw at the wrong player though 😂😂

Best of luck to the lad, I hope he can regain the form and confidence he had for them in his first stint.

I don't, purely because I expect West Ham to struggle again and I want Forest to finish above them

He'll be no more use to them than he was us if he's injured for more than half the season again. I hope he's not, I like him and wish him no ill will.

Hopefully he lines up against us when we play them next month. He'll be no match for Yatesy.

Having said that I wish him well, clearly had some sort of connection with our club last season.

Seeing West Ham twitter slowly convince themselves this will be a good signing is very very funny to watch after the last year.
It still can be a decent move for them, given that it's basically minimal risk. That's as long as they've got enough space in the squad and they're not having to leave out someone more likely to play.

Hell, I'd be fine having Lingard back here as the 25th man in our squad (ahead of whichever of Biancone/Toffolo/Konate/a 4th keeper gets the nod). But probably wouldn't drop any of the other 24 players.

Yeah, just funny based on all the shit they gave us and him last year.

I actually quite like Lingard and wish him well, but I'd be amazed if he can force his way into that West Ham team. I think he's the sort of player that needs to be at the peak at fitness to be effective and he's barely played for 2 seasons, keeps getting niggling injuries and he's now in his 30s. Then again sometimes a club just suits a player and he ripped it up at West Ham last time he was there (albeit 2 years ago in empty stadiums).

Fair play to him for mugging another club of millions. Absolute fraud of a player though now.

I cannot help thinking what Richard Keys makes of it all?

With his achilles injury I just can’t see him ever being fit enough to play a part. Maybe he’ll just be used in cup games and won’t need to be in the 25. Do they have a 25 for the conference league or can they play anyone like in the domestic cups?
