It does, but we've all see the photos of them a few days ago, so it's easy to make something up based on that alone. It does stack up with Marinakis being there with Cooper

They are using the Post as a source. I am not sure how many Chinese whispers have been involved to come to this story.

Just goes to show how ridiculous that £15m price tag that Villa had supposedly put on him is. No one will be signing him at that price and Villa will end up with an unhappy player who they have no intention of using on their books.Seems like Forest were told it would cost £15m to sign Davis and thought 'Well, there's this lad who's delivered in a top league in Europe who's got a similar style who will cost around £17m'.........
Forest have got to learn from this when loaning young players in the future. We’ve enhanced the reputation/value of all the loan players from last season to the point where they are feasibly unviable. All future loans should have a fee built in to the loan so we gain some recognition for enhancing the standing of those players.Seems like Forest were told it would cost £15m to sign Davis and thought 'Well, there's this lad who's delivered in a top league in Europe who's got a similar style who will cost around £17m'.........
Agree with you. Need to make sure we have a future fee involved, which is apparently what we're trying to do with Henderson.Forest have got to learn from this when loaning young players in the future. Agree with this, not getting an agreed fee built into the Spence loan has proven to be rather costly especially.Forest have got to learn from this when loaning young players in the future. Even Utd can’t be letting someone sit on the bench on 100k a week for too long. We either buy outright or have a future fee in place following a loan. Not in our interest otherwise.Agree with you. From what I've read, Man United are not keen on the future fee but wouldn't mind loaning him to Forest for the season.
Villa have seen how he's taken to us, they've seen how much we love him and that we've now been promoted and are just trying to milk us for what they can get. I guarantee they'd be asking for far less had we not been promoted.Just goes to show how ridiculous that £15m price tag that Villa had supposedly put on him is. I love Keinan and would be happy to see him back at Forest at the right price, but £15m is probably three times more than he is worth at this moment in time and you can get far more bang for your buck elsewhere.
I still wouldn't be surprised to see him here late in the window. We won't pay anything like the fee banded about in the press at the moment, but when it is clear that no one is going to meet that ridiculous valuation late in the window we'll pick him up for a more realistic price IMO.Villa have seen how he's taken to us, they've seen how much we love him and that we've now been promoted and are just trying to milk us for what they can get. As you said KD is worth 5m max, he doesn't score enough to be worth any more than that. He's going to end up being loaned back to the championship for another year.
Highly possible, I feel similarly with Spence too.I still wouldn't be surprised to see him here late in the window. Yeah, selling clubs usually aren't keen to put in buy clauses because it doesn't advantage them if they think the player might have a future for them, or think their value will increase over time. Which will very often be the case. It's not that easy to just demand a buy clause in a loan.
Presumably those demanding one think we should have given Worrall and Johnson one when we loaned them out?
This is spot. Sometimes it can be difficult to value a player without core playing time in the prem...Davis value has to be based upon performances/contract length. He's about 3rd or 4th place at Villa, so you're talking well under 10mill. Sure Forest really want him...he's got real chemistry for Forest, but Villa need to put the player firstJust goes to show how ridiculous that £15m price tag that Villa had supposedly put on him is. And we've got to do the same which means not paying over the odds.Realistically Villa need to put their finances first.

Not so much strapped for cash, but they do have a large amount of debt, legacy of both spending their way out off-the-peg championship and then consolidating themselves in the top flight.are villa strapped for cash?
