If I was a player and I had Spurs and Forest interested, objectively there is no comparison. Spurs has a world class manager, one of the best stadiums in the world, some incredible players, they're situated in London, they're playing in Europe next year and most importantly, they can offer him wages we can not.
Brennan Johnson is probably worth more than Djed now after scoring a couple for Wales but I feel he would still choose Forest over Spurs, even with better wages and Champions League football.

From reports, he seems definitely now off our radar.
I'm wondering if it's a deliberate attempt to get Spurs or other teams to show their cards before coming back in late on.

Money talks and if a big club wants him there's no doubt he'll go but he liked it here and fitted in which counts for a fair amount.

All this talk about other full backs might be the club just saying, look, we don't have to buy you, there are others we could go for - a bit like the Henderson stuff with Samba.

I kinda feel sorry for Djed, all the talk since January has been about him going to Arsenal, Spurs, Bayern etc yet non have made a bid for him.

Now we're short on time and can't wait to see what happens to him so need a replacement asap, he could realistically still be at Boro next season.

Imagine if we sign someone else, then Spurs end up not signing him and he ends up at Boro

You have to imagine that a team as well organised as Dane's would be well aware of the likelihood of any move to Spurs etc falling through and be close enough to know if there's a deal to be done - does get complicated by possible replacement though. Truth be told the whole thing nowadays is akin to putting yourself into a process more akin buying a house with multiple chain dependencies

I feel a bit sorry for the lad if so. His agent is probably trying to get one of the big hitters to make a move, but if they don't and Forest move onto other targets he could end up stuck at Boro.

I hope for his sake that he isn't at Boro this coming season. He's a good player and needs to be playing in the Premier League.

If that's the case then he needs to fuk iz agent off and geriz Dad in to do it.

Zero sympathy from me for players who are all about money and greed.

It's Djed's loan to us that has raised his profile. If it wasn't for Forest teams like Spurs wouldn't be in the slightest bit interested. He wasn't going anywhere at Boro, and his value wasn't that high, we have allowed him to flourish and vastly increase his value. Obviously Boro want to make the most of that and get the best monetary return for him but if they thought they could have our pants down after the way we developed him and brought him on it looks as if we're not playing that game. We're looking elsewhere.

For me it'd go Spence > Kabore > Williams. I think the pace down that side is one of our most important weapons.

Especially since Worrall comes across and pretty much plays as a make shift RB at times covering for Spence when he needs to, allowed Spence to play more as a winger than a wing back which obviously worked well for us
