I think losing that connection with Johnson is another downside of anyone other than SpenceFor me it'd go Spence > Kabore > Williams. I think the pace down that side is one of our most important weapons.

Yes, he's definitely one of those I think the club should push the boat out for if he does want to come rather than hold out for another club.I'd break the bank for Spence if he's open to the move. I really think he could be one of the best players in the country in a few years in that position.
They don't seem to be making a move at the moment from what I've read.I think he'll be at Spurs by the end of next week, unfortunately. If they're paying close to £20m for him I'm not sure I'd want us to be in for him at that price.
What are they pissing around at?. Either they want him, in which case pay the dosh and get on with it, or they don't and its all been a giant hoax...They don't seem to be making a move at the moment from what I've read.
That's not to say they won't mind you. But it doesn't look imminent at the moment. I don't think his future will be resolved anytime soon. Its going to be one of those transfer sagas that drags on, though whether we stick around or move onto other targets is anyones guess.
What does "break the bank" mean?. How much??I'd break the bank for Spence if he's open to the move. I really think he could be one of the best players in the country in a few years in that position.

Whatever is necessary. If Boro are holding out for £20m I'd take him for that. Even if we were valuing him at a lower price before. What does "break the bank" mean?. How much??
Yes. I’d also want two of those paddings to be Zinks and Lowe. I know neither are massive favourites but we know they work at this club.Whatever is necessary. If Boro are holding out for £20m I'd take him for that. Even if we were valuing him at a lower price before.
A lot of our targets look good on paper but we know for sure Spence can make the step up and fit in like a glove to our system.
If I'm ranking priorities from this point on its...
1. Tie up Johnson and Cooper to new deals.
2. Sign Spence
3. Sort out the goalkeeping mess by either bringing Henderson in or giving Samba a new deal.
4. Sign a striker (Taiwo whatshisname)
5. Sign Morgan Gibbs-White
If we did that and padded out the squad a bit I think I would just about combust in excitement. But yeah Spence would be amazing and easy for me to say as uts not my money but if we possibly can I'd be trying to get him even if the fee and wages were a bit more than we'd like...
That's what I'd do too.if for all the rumoured interest over the last 6 months or so there's been no official bids we should just lowball Boro with something like 10m and see what happens.
Let's be fair, they still would probably play Izzy Jones there next season wouldn't they?
Whilst we do have Laryea and can probably play the long game and look at other targets, we know this lad fits in.
I really think he could. There's been lots of flirting with talk of bids...but there's been very few transactions in the prem so far. 2nd week July usually you see players move...if he doesn't then the poor guy could be at Middlesbrough...surely bizzare. Gut feeling is that Forest have bid..I'd break the bank for Spence if he's open to the move. I really think he could be one of the best players in the country in a few years in that position.
I wouldn't low ball them-they will know what Boro will accept (from the agent) and if its sub 20M I'd slap it on the table and see what happens. If it forces Spurs hand (and that's what DJ wants) then so be it. Theres sod all to loose but the fannying around ought to stop...if for all the rumoured interest over the last 6 months or so there's been no official bids we should just lowball Boro with something like 10m and see what happens.

This x a million, it works both ways. It's Djed's loan to us that has raised his profile. If it wasn't for Forest teams like Spurs wouldn't be in the slightest bit interested. He wasn't going anywhere at Boro, and his value wasn't that high, we have allowed him to flourish and vastly increase his value. Obviously Boro want to make the most of that and get the best monetary return for him biut if they thought they could have our pants down after the way we developed him and brought him on it looks as if we're not playing that game. We're looking elsewhere.
That's hilarious - there's clearly nothing on the table!I can understand her signing for them, what I don't get is why they got her to sign the table rather than a contract?
You sure about that? That's hilarious - there's clearly nothing on the table!
